Very disappointed in the black coating on the handles. It’s just a thin layer of spray paint or oil that comes right off on your hands and clothes. I should’ve just ordered the silver handled ones. Overall, the product was good except now it’s staining everything.

I would give these 5 stars but I ordered the 12 sided black handled weights from 5-20 lbs with the stand. The stand arrived and then the weights. I received two sets of 10 and 15 lbs weights one with black handles and one with silver. Completely missing the 5 and 20 lb weights. Now, I cannot find just the 20 lb weights in black with the 12 sides. ... show more

These weights suck. They stink, despite being washed and left outside for days. The rubber coating is badly applied both visually and pieces are falling off from the crappy molding. The paint on the metal is chipped off and wildly inconsistent in shininess.

The 5,10,15, 20s all have paint chips on the black handles and some have rubber spray on the grips. Very unfinished product. I was able to get rid of the awful smell by hand washing each weight and leaving them in the garage for a few days to air out.

But a couple things to be aware of.... 1. They have a very strong chemical smell. The whole room smells like strong rubber smell, hopefully this fades in time. 2. There is some sort of black residue rubbing off from the dumbbells. I learned this the hard way and ruined my shirt. Make sure you wipe them off with soap water and a cloth before use, or it will get all over your hands and clothes. 3. The rubber is shedding off little bits, I assume this is just because they are brand new? 4. My only other complaint is the rack seems to be too tight for the dumbbells, and when taking them on and off the rack they hit each other. The rubber protectors on each rack also come off really easily - I will likely try to glue these on so they aren't constantly falling off when I go to pick up a dumbbell. Overall, the weights seem good quality and feel comfortable to grip. I love the color, style and they look really nice in my home gym. For the price I think this is a great set and am happy with my purchase. ... show more
