I have been using the adjustable 50 pound core fitness dumbbells for about 8 years now and never had issue with them, other than they are limited in weight to only 50 pounds. I got the 80 pound adjustable nuobells as an upgrade, and boy are they awesome. When I first opened the box one of the dumbbell cradles had a cracked plastic part that made it more difficult to rerack the weight. However, after emailing customer support, they sent out a replacement cradle to me that same day and at no charge, and it arrived after about a week. I won't dock a star for the item being slightly damaged out of the box because sometimes it happens. Now onto the dumbbells... Pros- The cast iron plates just look and feel awesome. No issues with the plates feeling insecure and the plates themselves are very durable. I love the handles! The steel grip with the knurling feels like an actual gym dumbbell. The 80 pound max weight is such a game changer for me. While 80 isn't quite enough for some exercises (chest press, db rows, shrugs), it is still enough to get in the work I need. Huge space saver and much more economical than getting 16 different pairs of dumbbells. Cons- Some connector parts of the dumbbell are plastic and only time will tell how they hold up. You can't just drop these. Although it seems fairly durable, you will most certainly break the plastic connectors if you are carelessly throwing them around. Not that I would drop them anyways, but you just have to treat them with respect. If you want dumbbells you can abuse and drop, then you need solid cast iron or rubber coated ones. This product is an absolute must have for any home gym. The price point is very high, but this is absolutely worth it. Edit: I have been using these for over a year now and they have held up flawlessly. I frequently use the full 80 pound weight and the plastic connector pieces are showing no signs of wear. Just treat them with respect and as long as you arent dropping them or aggressively reracking them, they will hold up fine. These are the best investment I have ever made in my home gym, they are worth the price!

1 week update. Everything came in undamaged. There was 1 day separation between packages so I was scared for a second about the reviews that said only 1 dumbbell come. But they came immaculate, it is the real deal Nuobells and not knockoffs. They are honestly the smoothest switching dumbbells on the market. I have been babying them mostly because I'm paranoid about ever breaking them, however they feel like a dream when in use. I also purchased the MicroGainz 1.25lb adjuster magnet plates that fit in the grooves of each Nuobell perfectly. Having 5-82.5lb of dumbells in 2.5lb increments is amazing. Went straight to buying the stand as well. Having a whole gym's worth of weight in a compact form really elevates the gym.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Arrived on time and as promised. I'm very happy with the quality and durability of the product. I've had them for about 3 months now and have had no issues. Switching from one weight to the next is easy and seamless. Looks and feels like using regular dumbbells.

Haven't really broken them in yet. I gave them a few test runs. Pros: Perfect for a garage/home gym. They don't take up much space. They get the job done for just about anything you need them to. Cons: Not the smoothest transition when shifting to a new weight. I do worry about bumping them together or dropping them and them busting. Lots of plastic. Pretty expensive for what you get too. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase for the time being.

First I would like to thank Finer Form, the company selling these through Amazon, for exemplary customer service. Through no fault of their own the dumbbell handles broke and they immediately replaced them, no questions asked. Five stars for them. The Nuobell dumbbells are also incredible. A quick turn of the wrist and you can adjust the weight. And love that they go from 5-80 lbs. The only knock on these dumbbells is that for the price, the plastic parts should be eliminated. They easily break and then turning the handle to get different weights becomes nearly impossible and cannot be fixed as a small plastic piece appears to break. For $800 it seems like they should be more durable. In both instances when the plastic parts broke it was during a bench press set and then dropping them to the floor from about 2 feet up. So if you do purchase these realize that you cannot drop them from any height.

This is a great product. I bought a 2nd pair from this seller for my other home and both deliveries arrived early and in the same shipment which seems to be an issue in some reviews but I had no issues so I recommend this seller as well. I have never dropped any weights even in gyms so not a concern for me. Looks awesome in my home gym.
