  • TS7720 Great Home Wireless All-In-One Printer
Style: TS7720 WH - 2.7" LCD Touchscreen
This TS7720 is a great choice for home printing or home office use. Versatile in it's choices for printed media allowed by its front and rear input sources. Seems a little slow on the startup while it's 'getting ready' to print the first page, but once it's printing it seems to move along at a good pace. The printer is fair to good at printing smaller photos, and is just 'OK' with larger 8X10 size prints. The flat bed scanner has no auto-feed input tray so is typical for a 'single-page-at-a-time' scanner. Scan quality is good enough to scan-in Black and white or color documents and photos. The included software is adequate for home use for both printing and scanning. Just be aware this is not a professional quality photo printer/scanner/copier but is adequate for home use. Can't comment yet on the ink usage as I haven't had it long enough to observe its usage over time. Installation is not as simple as the Canon marketing hype would have you believe. It was not just plug-and-play, at least for my setup and installation, which is wireless with Windows 8.1 and Xfinity router. Unpacking is fairly straightforward, just remove it from the box and take off a couple pieces of orange shipping tape. Then the single page instruction sheet gets you started with setup, loading paper and print cartridges, and a link for downloading the setup software and drivers. I'd recommend downloading the TS7720 user manual first - in my case I needed it. I tried using the 'fully automated' Canon installation/setup but it couldn't find the TS7720. After reading the user manual, and learning how to use the TS7720s touch-screen control panel, I first followed the steps to connect the TS7720 to the router. Selecting my router out of the list of all my neighbors’ routers was easy but keying in my router's password was no easy task on the miniature touch screen control panel. Once I got the TS7720 connected to the router, I restarted the Canon setup software and it found the TS7720. After that, the installation went fairly easy - just follow the steps displayed on your computer screen. I also downloaded and did the setup on my wife’s computer so she has full printer/scanner functionality. The Canon installation/setup software easily ‘found’ the TS7720 since I had already connected the TS7720 to my router. One last observation... The TS7720 default setting is to timeout and shut down (power off) after 240 minutes (4 hours). With that configuration, it shuts down every time it has 4 hours of non-use and you have to manually turn it back on each time before you use it. Very aggravating, especially if the TS7720 is in a different room or different floor of the house. After reading the manual I found the solution. If you open the Printers page on your computer, right click on the TS7720 and chose Preferences. Then click on the Maintenance Tab. Then click on the Maintenances and Preferences button. Then click on the Auto Power button. This brings up the Auto Power Settings. 'Enable' Auto Power On. You can also change the Auto Power Off setting here too, if you want it to time out sooner that the default 4 hours, or not time out at all. Now, any time a computer tries to send something, the TS7720 will turn itself on. Once you make this choice it makes the changes in the TS7720 so from now on, it works for any computer that might be using the TS7720. ... show more

  • Perfect for home office, light use
Style: TS6420a BK -1.44" OLED DISPLAY
Nice basic All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer [Print,Copy,Scanner) in the color black. This Cannon Inkjet Printer is quite a nice deal. You receive full ink cartridges in both black and one of all together of the colors. It’s nice that you don’t have to input all the colors separately. It’s easy to set up and install the ink cartridges and hook up through your WI-FI and be printing within a couple of minutes. It prints 10 pages per minute and is not noisy or bothersome. Both the black ink and colored inks print out nice and bright. You can use regular inkjet copy paper or any copy paper brand of your choice. You can also print out on card stock or label sheets. It comes with an instruction manual and you can always go online to the Cannon Website and put in your specific model number and other specific information they may ask for to identify your printer and look up any questions you may have there. Being this is so basic and quite handy I am of the opinion you won’t really have any questions. I feel this is a great buy for the casual home owner but not for a high volume business that makes hundreds to thousands of copies a day. ... show more

  • Most infuriating printer I've ever used
Style: TS6420a BK -1.44" OLED DISPLAY
For a wireless printer I thought it would be something similar to Bluetooth... Not quite. First, there was no instruction manual in the box, just a single paper with a website instructing registration. (We do not live with a wifi connection so we had to walk this heavy machine up to a friend's house for it's set up and trial prints.) So ok maybe the sit will have sine silly tutorials, an entire FAQ page, some other stuff. Nope. The online manual is a gallery of pictographs, indicating that an app is required for the registration and use of the printer. Ok. Maybe the app will have everything. The app was frustrating to set up it's wireless connection (not really needing wifi at all), and then when finally synced, it's useless for printing anything other than pictures from my phone's gallery. What I mean is, through the Canon PRINT app, you can't access anything else. Which, after getting that far, the damn print quality is too grainy for pictures! Upon finally getting access through the PRINT app yo my documents, it Still won't print. Any time we tried to access documents on my word appto print, the apps on my phone started to act weird, saying that the open document, that I was clearly looking at and trying to print from, was unavailable. My husband was finally able to print from his phone, without the app, straight from other apps or files, directly from our email and even some music chords directly from a website! Yes that's great, if that what I needed the printer for. When synced back up to my phone, the printer refused to access my apps or files, again saying they were unable to open them. Wtf did the PRINT app do to my other apps? Once we were back home, I tried the scanner - the least frustrating thing about the whole day - printer is fine for text, not crisp but not as grainy as images. Struggles with copying stamps.) I am still having difficulty getting my documents from Microsoft Word to print, even when directly saved onto my phone's storage rather than the cloud. It vehemently refuses to connect to my computer without a 4-8 digit pin. Which I don't have. Oh, and the paper tray locks half sticking out, in print mode, only occasionally allowing to be pushed fully back under the body - I still don't know how it went back in the first time and cannot get it to repeat the closure. Afraid to break the damn thing I left it out when I put it away for the day, wholly frustrated with the entire experience. Today when trying again there is a repeated 1001 and 1003 error about the paper tray. I've taken it out, fixed the paper, put it back in about a dozen times. It's fine. Still won't print. Now it won't print anything. The ONLY nice thing about this printer (when you scan!) is that when the paper jams, the back of the machine can be almost be fully opened so you can access the paper trapped around the rollers. I'll admit that was pretty sweet. I got this printer for work and it's by far the most infuriating printer I've ever used. If I could return it, I would, but that would cost more money than I purchased it for. ... show more
