    • Punches above its considerable weight
First, you need to understand that this is a BIG printer. I assume you know that since you're reading reviews, but make sure you really KNOW it. For me, since I have cats and they are NOT allowed in the same room as this beast(I don't want cat hair/dander getting into my fancy printer and messing anything up) it stays in the closet in my office until I'm ready to print. Then I kick the cats out, roll the printer out(you should 100% get the stand. Yes, I know it's expensive, but I think it's totally worth it), and get to printing. Afterwards, reverse the steps to tuck the printer away and let the cats back in. I thought about taking some pictures of the things I've printed so far, but there's no way my phone would do justice to them, and my 'real' camera is currently out of commission. I will say that the prints look fantastic. I've used two brands of paper(Canon and Red River) and glossy, satin/semi-gloss, and matte papers and everything looks amazing. I'm sure if you're trying to get perfect color accuracy, the Pro 2600/etc. might get you closer, but this(much less expensive) printer does everything I need: color and monochrome pictures, signage, basic printing(shipping labels, etc.). I happily give it five stars, with two caveats: 1. I cannot stress enough how big this thing is. It won't sit on some basic printer stand/side table; get the stand and clear a corner of the room. 2. Feeding sheets of paper is a pain. You have to do it one at a time, and it takes a little while for the printer to get situated. THEN you have to tell it what kind of paper it is, even if it's the same thing you just used. Clearly, this is meant to print from a roll, and it does that MUCH better/more efficiently. Sheet paper feeding was put in only as a (in)convenience. OH! Also, A4/Letter/Legal is the smallest paper sheets you can feed. No 4x6, 8x10, etc. ... show more

I've had this printer for a few months now, and really do like it. I print exclusively Arch D sizes,and am pleased with the quality. It prints as fast as expected, and does great for 1/2 the price of other large-format printers. Highly recommend.
