The Canon imagePROGRAF iPF780 36-inch large format printer builds on Canon's award winning line of 5-color printers, and provides enhancements in both hardware, and software capabilities. The iPF780 device is capable of producing an Arch D (24 x 36) print in up to 21 seconds using Economy mode, and an Arch E (33.1 x 46.8) print in up to 41 seconds! The printer has the capability of accommodating 300ml ink tanks, geared towards lowering the cost per print. The included Sub-ink tank system allows for users to use all of the ink in the tank before replacing, while also replacing the empty ink tanks on-the-fly without having to stop a job mid-print and sacrifice print quality.

    • Fabulous printer....TM-350
This printer is amazing, and so is the seller. Printer offered was no longer available, but they made every effort to contact me and inform me of all the information needed so that I could make the right choice with the replacement printer. I even called back because I thought of something later and they were just as eager to answer questions as they were the first time. To the printer: I did receive the TM-350, and I did have issues with installing the ink cartridges. They literally would not go in. I made a quick call to Canon, and I got the best service tech on the phone. After we tried a couple different things, she immediately made a service appointment and ordered an entire ink system that was delivered the next day. The service technician called early the next morning to let me know he was in the area and to call him as soon as the delivery driver delivered the ink. He was here not long after the delivery was made and was able to get it going without installing the new system. So, just know the ink cartridges can be tricky. The directions state that you shouldn't press too hard, but you may have to apply a little pressure for them to go in correctly. Overall, this is a wonderful printer. Colors are vivid, and the ink consumption is average. You may have to play with the paper settings to get the right output, but that's normal when there are so many options for media. Print speed is fair. The printing process is seamless, so you can do other things while it prints. And of course, it depends on what you're printing. If it's a full color banner, you should expect it to take a little longer than something with less background. And yes, the printer is huge! Look at the measurements prior to purchasing. We have a construction company and added this printer to print construction plans at full size for on the job. It is turning out to be a wonderful investment.

    • Use glossy paper for the first print !’n
No information that you need to print the first print using glossy paper or else it won’t work. Wasted so much ink to try to get it right. Canon should have mentioned that very important detail in their user manual!! Other than that, the printer works great.

    • Great value for the money
I bought this printer a couple of years ago. It is areal workhorse and has performed well, with one exception. I didn't print anything for a couple of months and the printhead dried out enough that the A and B cleaning cycles couldn't get it totally open. I have the printhead soaking in a special cleaner right now and it seems to be doing the job of opening up the clogged nozzles. The simple and easy thing to do is just make sure you run a test print every now and then. I don't anticipate any issues at all with clogging now that I have learned that this is a necessary maintenance procedure. This is a wonderful machine, at a great price.
