Just what I needed
Style: Printer
I had been needing a FAX machine for sometime and when the Canon Faxphone L100 came up I bought it. I am not very familiar with the machine and ended up calling the Canon Tech Line who talked me through the situation I was having with the machine. The Technician was very helpful and resolved my issue in very short order, he was very knowledgeable and patient. The Fax is working great so far and hopefully will continue to do so for years to come. I am using it on a VOIP line and no problem, which was really my first concern.

Very nice fax. Highly recommend
Style: Printer
Very nice fax. Easy to set up and simple to use. Makes nice copies. I ordered this for my sister who has macular degeneration and has a very hard time seeing things. And she needed a stand alone fax. The key pad is on top and the screen is in white which helps her to see the menu etc. Other faxes like this were up to $400. Highly recommend this fax/copier. It is not colored which she did not want because the required multiple ink cartridges are so expensive for color fax/printers. The ink cartridge for this fax is one cartridge and very affordable.

Don't Accidentally Disable USB Port
Style: Printer
The listing claims Connectivity Technology: "Wireless" and Print Media: "Fabric" but neither is true (for which I removed a star). However, the machine sends and receives faxes and prints on paper just fine on Windows 10. It is also light enough for an older person to lift, with convenient handholds to prevent pinching your fingers when setting it down. At first, I couldn't get the USB to connect so I could print, but I later realized my mistake: The online HTML manual (not the PDF one), says to choose ON or OFF to "Specify whether to use USB devices connected to the machine. Once this setting is enabled, the USB port on the back of the machine is disabled." I assumed that meant that ON would enable the setting and disable the USB port, but it actually works in the reverse! Keeps this in mind if you can't get the USB port to function.

Canon Faxphone L100 (5258B001) Laser Printer and Copier
Style: Printer
I really like this fax/printer. Since I am currently vision impaired, I had to call Canon Customer Service to walk me through setting it up for use, and they were great, got me up and going in no time, ran tests to verify all is working good. You will need to purchase a 10ft USB A to USB B Printer Cable to use as a photo copier from your computer, usually under $10.00, I believe that the other models are set up for cordless printing.

Old device won't work with chromebooks
Style: Printer
This printer debuted in 2012. Good luck finding a computer that can work with it. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH CHROMEBOOKS.

Easy set up
Style: Printer
This fax machine was so easy to set up and use. Just pop it out of the box, hook up to telephone line and go. The numbers were easy to pre-set and set up was a breeze. Now I just push one button and then start and my fax goes automatically. It's sturdy and also makes great copies.

Perfect
Style: Printer
This replaced a years-old identical model we bought new; it works fine; it has all the essential features and is easy to use and reliable. (We're moving to fax connected with our new VoIP service so will have to adapt to scan/upload and download/print; less expensive but for us less convenient.)
