This is not a good vacuum for pet hair. When I ran the pet brush down the back of our Pry, it was jammed up and would not work. I had to take the whole pet brush apart and I almost lost a very small part when reassembling it. When I was vacuuming under the couch, the floor head got so backed up with dog hair that I had to stop to get it out by hand. We have used a Lift off Shark Navigator for 10 years. It has been under warranty for 10 years. The Shark floor head can get strings in it, but it does not stop working. The Shark Navigator has a very large dust cup and it picks up and stores it after about 20 minutes of vacuuming. If you have a dog with short hair like a cattle dog, corgi, or chi, it would be fine. It will not work for Pry, Akbash, Shepherds, Afghans, Sheepdogs, Huskies, etc. We have a Pry, Akbash and Shepherd/Husky mix. It is light weight and tows easily and it is easy to lift. The cord rewhind is good and it works well. The Shark Navigator is heavy, but it does a great job still then years later. We have hard wood floors with small area rugs here and there. This Vacuum will be fine for floors with only dust and dirt on them. I am not sure it will work well on pet hair? The dust cup has a large filter system in it so it is may be 2 quart if that for dirt and dog hair. We are not sure if we are returning this item. I have to disassemble the filters and check them to see how that works. But it cannot do what the SharkNavigator does. ... show more
