    • Easy to use heater for a calm environment
This is my first time using a propane heater like this. It was very easy to assemble - you just screw the gas canister on, put it in the stand, and check for leaks. Usage is also very simple - turn the valve on, get a match going, and press the safety plunger. It lit right away, although it wasn't immediately visually obvious, it takes a few seconds before the front starts glowing red hot. I was a bit disappointed with the match lighting - any camping gear I've bought in the last five years or so has had piezoelectric lighting and this seems like a great candidate for such a thing. It puts out a good amount of heat. Like I said I've never used one of these before, but I could feel it a few feet away. Wind is a big issue for this. I'm not sure how I'd light it if it was windy. That might be a moot point because it wouldn't be very useful in a windy environment anyway - the heat would be blown away as soon as it was produced. You'd have to stand next to it the entire time. But it also requires ventilation. So it seems like the ideal situation would be outside in a semi-enclosed space, or a well ventilated workshop. I have an outside work area that's roofed and enclosed on three side, so very sheltered from the wind, and it does make that area warmer, although not as much as I'd hoped. Turning it off is simple a matter of switching the knob to off and waiting for it to cool. ... show more

    • Great little heater
We have used this in our garage and find for it to be small it sure is mighty. The heat it puts off is better than expected for the size. There are 3 temp settings. It is fairly easy to light but be careful as it really let out a poor of flame when lighting. We find it super light weight and portable to take anywhere. We are using the small propane cans and you will need to purchase propane as this heater doesn’t come with propane included. Very easy to use and so far the quality has been great and has definitely kept us warm.     • Slick little outdoor radiant heater. QUICK AND EASY HEAT!
Dead simple to start with one little caveat. You really have to insert the lighter flame next to the grill BEFORE pushing the red button. I paused a couple seconds thinking I'd let the gas reach the grill before I inserted my lighter and WHOOOOMP! The fireball was impressive. Thankfully my face was a couple feet to the side. Don't be a dummy like me, follow the freakin' instructions! This is actually good, however. It is really fast and easy to light. I got the process down to 10 seconds. Insert lighter, press the red button and hold for a count of 10. The grid lit up at 2 and was full blast by 10 and I could let go the button. Easy Peasy! One other thing, the temp control knob gets hot after a while. Burnt my thump turning it off. Use a glove or something. ENJOY! ... show more

Very well made heater. Fires right up and gets very warm fast. Perfect for a garage or winter sporting. The base that the 1lb. Propane cylinder sits in is very stable and better than others that I own. Very pleased with it as it will keep me warm while working in the garage during the Utah winters.
