Beautiful set of pans! Heat evenly and perfectly for searing to gentle simmer. Clean easily and look brand new after washing. Dishwasher safe but hand washing and using Bar Keepers or Pink Stuff keeps them shinier and stain free. If you are new to using stainless, watch several videos on YouTube on how to make your pots and pans virtually nonstick. Once you have the knack, you can easily fry eggs in these pans. Rarely have I ever gone over medium heat with these pans and they cook beautifully. Cooked a little too hot in one and it stained. A soft nylon scrubbie and some Bar Keepers Friend and it looks brand new again. I have a tiny kitchen and these pans look like jewelry on my wall. Also, the pans are heavy, substantial, although not large - ideal home kitchen set and will last forever. Love these! ... show more

Very good and reliable pots and pans set. I purchased this as a gift for my MIL because it is the same as a set I got 14 years ago and I have recieved so many compliments on how much they love the set. It takes a little bit to learn how to cook with if you are coming from something like a coated or nonstick set, but its well worth it. This is a good, useful set, and we gave the frying pans from this set to other family. We have been loving these new pots, and would highly recommend them. I absolutely love this cookware! Have went through a bunch of T-Fal non stick as well as other non stick pans this is bar none the most incredible cookware I have ever used. Could not wait to give them a try the day I got it and I am so stoked! I cooked beans, sauteed with garlic, butter and olive oil... no sticking, was actually more slippery than non stick pans. Seared pork chops, no sticking, reduced a wine sauce, came out perfect, angel hair cooked just fine in the stockpot. The big test was clean up, everything cleaned up and they look good as new, no residues from the wine and tomato sauce. I am so overjoyed with my choice! My only regret was waiting so long to buy this cookware! Yes it is expensive but the value and quality make it a steal at $599! Follow the instructions on use and cleanup and you will love it too! ***Edit: Fried eggs in it and no sticking. Crab cakes were perfect as well as shrimp and béarnaise sauce. Six months later and this cookware continues to deliver, the more complex the meal the more they deliver! I would not trade this cookware for anything! This is a great quality set for those that can’t afford high end pots but want to have a quality set that will last. Recently quitting Teflon products and can’t go wrong with this. The handles are held by 3 sturdy rivets with zero jiggle. There were some minor scuffs in the surface from shipping but a brass bristle brush takes them out with zero damage to the steel since brass is a softer metal. Great peace of mind now knowing no harmful “forever chemicals” like PTFE will be leaching in my food and these can be scrubbed without damaging them. ... show more

My old Calphalon anodized 8 qt stock pot didn't work on my induction burner. To replace it was $150. I found this stainless top of the line set for not much more. Three layers of aluminum encased by stainless. All Clad has a copper layer but is 4 times the price. The pans are a beautiful brushed stainless. There were a few cosmetic defects along the rim of several pans that I had not seen before with Calphalon. I filed a few burrs and rough edges. I seasoned the two fry pans as instructed on the internet. It took a few tries to get right. My first attempt was too hot and discolored the pans. I scrubbed that off and was successful with less heat. This left a very nice soft burnish to the inside of the pans. With a small amount of butter or oil even a fried egg does not stick. Not quite as non stick as my Swiss Diamond coated pan where I don't even need oil, but I like these much better for browning foods. Heating is quick and even, especially on the induction burner. Bottoms are perfectly flat - important on a glass cook top. Handles stay cool unless you have them in the oven. These are oven safe at any temperature. If your cook ware has a temp limit it is NOT really oven safe. Glass covers are a plus. They fit just as they should, snug but not too tight. I am very happy with this set, especially for the price. Calphalon customer service was helpful and prompt is addressing my concern about the rim irregularity. ... show more

I've had this set for a few months now. I transitioned from Non stick Calphalon to the Stainless Steel. I LOVE this set!!! I followed the directions to start the pot/pan on medium heat before adding butter/oil then meat and it works like a charm! I use Bar Keepers Friend to clean and they look like new! ... show more

Best set I've ever owned. Heavy duty pots & pans. They heat up quickly, holdbheat very well and are easy to clean. Just follow manufacturer care instructions and buy some stainless cleaner (can buy on Amazon). Every kitchen needs good non-stick pans, cast iron pans along with quality stainless steel pots & pans. My only regret is that I waited so long to order these. Would make a great gift for any house warming, wedding or graduation etc... I'm now purchasing individual pieces of Calphalon. ... show more
