I've purchased Calphalon pans in the past. I have some from 25 years ago. I decided to get this big chef's pan and Calphalon, like everything else, has made great strides in the past quarter century. I had no idea. The new Calphalon has an incredible coating. It's as good as these "diamond" non stick pans that make the food taste rubbery. I'm thinking of getting a whole new set of Calphalon because I like this one pan so much. The lid is great. You can see everything cooking. The pan itself is large and deep, so you can make dishes with a sauce, like coq au vin. I got it on sale so the price was great. No complaints. ... show more

Love this pan. Large enough to space things out and heats evenly. This is our second one. Using only silicone or plastic utensils the last one lasted about 5 years before the non-stick coating wore off.

It’s lighter weight than my older Calphalon pans, but I’ve used it and it’s good. Washes well and I would recommend. Slightly less depth than I expected, but other than that I love it.

I bought this as a replacement pan for an old Calphalon that I have had for over 15 years. It is a Great Payton, and I expect it to last another 15 years as well.

We love these pans and use them daily - that probably why over time the inside became worn and we had to purchase a new one. Great skillet that holds a lot. Perfect for one pot meals, homemade spaghetti sauce, frying potatoes and eggs for a big breakfast, roux or gravy. The handle on the opposite side of the pan helps when pouring. ... show more

Calphalon has MANY different cookware lines and sub-categories. This model IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. go to Calphalon.com/supportShow. Select use & care, select Cookware. Scroll down to Calphalon Classic & with drop-down arrow scroll down to Calphalon Classic Nonstick Cookware. THIS is the correct info to use/maintain the product & NOT void the warranty. Also, other sites recommend to re-season occasionally. Lightly rub inside with cooking oil, put on burner at LOWEST setting for 15 minutes & let it cool down naturally.
