I like the pouring lips. Don't buy if you're looking for a lightweight pot, this is heavy when used with the lid. I like that you can use the lid to strain but the lid is very heavy. I definitely works for my needs and a good quality pot

    • If the lifetime warranty is motivating you to buy, move on.
I purchased several pieces of Calphalon classic cookware, in part because of the lifetime warranty. The warranty information is outlined on Calphalon.com. However, I had two pieces that the non-stick coating began to fail on. I filed a claim with photos of the damaged cookware on the Calphalon website and got no response. I repeated the claim again after some time and it was again ignored. So, from my experience, the "Lifetime Warranty" does not exist. ... show more

It is not cast iron and the lid is glass.

I have several Calphalon pans. I especially love the lid and not needing to use a separate strainer to drain off the water or grease. BEWARE...This pot holds the heat!!! I set the hot pot on a hot pad and the hot pad fused to the bottom of the pan. I am devastated!!! I have only had the pan for a few months. I have tried everything to remove the melted fabric from the bottom of the pan with no success 😔 "RIP PAN" I highly recommend this pot just be careful where you set the pot when it is still HOT 🔥 ... show more
