I have been using for quite some time. I am ok on my crown, but I was losing hair on my right temple. It got so bad that if I pulled my hair back with my hand I could clearly see my scalp on the side in the mirror even after 6 weeks of my visit to the barber shop. Some say its not made for growing hair on the sides or temple, but I see good results and I see more little hairs growing on my front hairline. I used the liquid version, but it showed little or no results and i could only use it during the day since I would get itchiness on my scalp. I was worried and disappointed until I read that some people mentioned that they got better results with the foam. I tried it and bingo! And the foam I use it twice a day as directed and no problem. Maybe its the direct rubbing on your scalp that makes this product work. I dont know, but I am sure that I got great results and my recommendation is that keep trying until you find what works best for you. ... show more

My dermatologist (well-known, top doc in the US, treat many celebs, teaches at Harvard) told me to buy the 5% - that the "don't use if you are woman" warning is just plain nonsense. Anyway - the stuff does work - but not right away. It took about a month to SLOW DOWN the loss. I've been using it 3 months now. According to my doc, it will work only as long as I continue to use it. I only use it once a day, even though the directions say 2x/day. I use very small amts. It adds body to your hair (as it is a mousse and you are applying it to the roots, so therefore, you get a "lift"). It smells GREAT! I don't understand why people say it stinks...my husband actually compliments me on the smell... Also, I have visible hair growth starting where there wasn't any for 2 yrs. Yea! ... show more

Two of the can so far have run out of foam after three uses. I think these cans are defective. But apparently I’m past the window for return. Be careful of who you buy them from. Apparently heat can cause issues. So if they’ve been sitting on a hot truck., you may get faulty cans

I wish I had known that this would initially make your hair thinner before it starts regrowing hair! I still have a full head of hair, but have recently noticed some thinning so I was trying to be proactive. After using this product for a month my hair looks much thinner, and apparently that’s just how it’s supposed to work. I will not be continuing to use rogaine at this point in my life, I would recommend a natural DHT blocker and Biotin shampoo if you are happy with your hair and aren’t ready to spend six months looking like your father. Three stars, might work for some, but not if you aren’t ready for it to get worse before it gets better. ... show more
