This is the king size unit. I attached my slats with wood screws to the bed frame, and this to the slats with zip ties, smooth side up. This is the foundation for a hybrid mattress with a cover, without box springs. I needed a solution, as access is a narrow stairwell with a 90 degree turn. The mattress was boxed, so it was an easy haul with a dolly. We've been sleeping on this for over six months now, and between it, the mattress we selected, and the solid slat foundation, no complaints. We've had no shifting of it, or sounds. After using this with the slats, I prefer this over a bunkie board. Since it's a king bed, I used a lot of slats, and I ran a support board screwed under them from the head to the foot with 4x4 cut to size between it and the floor, two foot spacing. I'd suggest that strategy for that size of bed.

This is a great rollable bamboo support mat that I am using with a queen size bed(KD Frames foldable queen bed) which has slats that are 4 inches apart. So far I was using two Ikea mattress toppers (2 and 3/8 inch thick each) placed on the slatted bed base and they were fine with minimal sagging, but I had been thinking about adding little bit more support to the base. Once, I placed the bamboo pad, I found that I could get away with just one mattress topper. I had originally bought the mattress toppers because these are something I could move by myself. Also, I personally prefer a firm base for sleeping. At the moment, I have kept both of the toppers in place and now there is more than enough support. The key factor for me was that the bamboo pad has spacing between the individual bamboo slats, which in turn helps with air circulation near the base of the mattress. I am not anticipating any mold, but it is something to keep in mind in humid locations. The slats are about 1 inch wide and give enough strength to the overall bamboo base. I like that the base pad is made of bamboo, a naturally occurring material, and has no paint or varnish, so there is no offgassing of chemicals or paints in this product. It is also easy to roll, although I don't foreseee a reason to move this item. But this is certainly a consideration for people who may be looking for a portable solution, because this bamboo pad can be moved by one person. The only negative I see are that some of the slats are curved upwards(see the phots), and I am not sure if this will be an issue long term or perhaps that is natural with bamboo and these will flatten over time with the weight of the mattress. And finally, my recommendation to the manufacturer is to change their packaging of the bamboo mat to where the black strap side is on the outside. I received the item in a rolled form just as it is shown in the last product image, and with this set up it cannot be rolled out in the way that it is shown in the installation video.

Heavy and solid for the price. Works well and was easy enough to get in place. Very large. It does tend to slip but it's bamboo on my metal frame, so Ill have to secure it with something. My only complaint is that it's put together with staples, which may or may not hold up over time considering how heavy the bendable materials being held together are.

Lightweight and fairly easy to put on the platform, 2 people would make it much easier for a king size bed. I like the fact that it lies perfectly flat (other reviews about receiving warped bamboo...I did not experience that). I also love that there is enough space between the small slats to allow air circulation, yet not enough space to let the mattress sag. No noise, no clacking, and no sliding around.

If an item is promised by a specific date, then the item should be shipped out by a certain date. The item was never shipped until last minute, therefore it was late. It was unfortunate as it delayed a lot of plans waiting on this one item. Heavily considered cancelling the order due to the shipping process, but still decided to give em a try. Honestly, should have cancelled the order and got my money back. For the price tag of $99 my repeat purchase has been cancelled. Should the price reduce by 25-50% then repeat purchase/product recommendations will commence. If you are considering buying this, expect double the delivery time wait and fully commit to it so your plans are not delayed like mine were. Mine were received with little to no warping, but installation of this product is wonky and will be a lot easier with two people despite it being lightweight. Also, it is a little smaller than the dimensions required to fit a full sized bedframe, but it does the job, so it's not worth returning it over; however, this product does not fit along industry standards.

Great idea, awful execution. The bamboo boards were all warped and did not lay flat at all. It moved around and was very noisy. It also was folded incorrectly so difficult to open up. Returned immediately.

I attached it to my metal frame platform bed with plastic zip ties. Perfect fit and provides the extra support I was looking for. Sturdy bamboo pieces. Product comes folded in half and then rolled up in box. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase.
