This is a beautiful clock. I love the style. But you'd think when I pay nearly $100 for a clock that they would use real crystals instead of plastic, which was disappointing as I love crystals and it was one of the reasons I chose this one. And all the "gold" is beautiful but just plastic. Really, Bulova? I was afraid when setting the clock that I might break something. But I didn't. Putting the batteries in was a little confusing as it seemed to indicate an order to do this, but there were no diagrams except for the functions at the bottom. I did get it figured out eventually. But the chimes are delightful, and the volume control is helpful. I like the choice of melodies. The pendulum movement is sweet. It looks really lovely, except for the fake crystals. ... show more

the clock is beautiful and the tone of the chimes are soft and deep. volume can be adjusted and once i realized both batteries should be installed at same time, easy to sinc time to chimes. only thing i miss is chime on the half hourl

This clock looks nice, keeps time, and has great sound for a smaller box. The insides are mostly plastic, but again looks nice. The 4 star rating comes from the fact too much plastic, but the value is good.

setting the time of day or night was a little tricky for you need to go all the way around letting it chime each hour . At first it was off in the day and chiming all night ha! we got that sorted out so it's chiming properly in the day but still having an issue with the volume control for it's very touchy to get it just right to your liking . I'm so glad I ordered it , I had been looking at it for a year or more then bought it for myself for a 79th birthday present . The gold and crystal turning pendulum catches the light beautifully and the wood workmanship is outstanding ... show more
