  • Good label maker for small business network & works for prescription labels.
Model name: Model: QL820NWB DIFFERENCE:USB Host...
So far this is working well for my small business office. I set it up on our network, and am happy to say it was pretty straightforward as long as you have some experience with setting up static ip adresses and installing drivers and programs on multiple computers. For some reason all of the label makers i have used are more difficult to set up on a network than regular printers, but this one was much easier than the zebra printer, and stays connected, unlike the dymo printer. Yes, I am on my 3rd label printer due to network connection issues... If i ever need to purchase another one i am hoping that they come up with a plug and play model. That said, I am using it for prescription labels. Although the labels that I needed to use with my office software are a little big for prescription labels, they work just fine, and the label maker has so far been very reliable to use from any computer in our office. I also like that this machine gives you the option of using several different size labels, which you have to set up on each computer with the p touch program (or it will not let you print anything), so it has more potential uses than the other label makers I have used. Overall happy with this label maker. ... show more

  • Network capability, quick excellent quality printing and easy to use.
Model name: Model: QL820NWB DIFFERENCE:USB Host...
The Brother QL-820NWB is a great little printer. The most important feature to me was the ethernet port. The printer can be used through WIFI but not many manufacturers make a printer that can be wired. The printer was easy to configure on the network. The printer offers quick printing and boy does it print clearly! The printer will only use label stock made by Brother. However, there is continuous roll stock available. Again, hard to find continuous roll stock for these types of printers. The printer also offers 2 color printer, red and black. That is pretty sweet! This is a very economical printer, no ribbon to replace, no messy ink or toner. The supplied software can be a little confusing, particularly if you have change from one color to two color stock. I had to contact Brother technical support for assistance. However, support was great and got me up and running! We use this printer to label tools, bins, and shelves. Perfect for business/industrial use! ... show more

  • Overall, Pretty Good Printer
Model name: Model: QL820NWB DIFFERENCE:USB Host...
This printer works well with AirPrint; that's important since I'm not a fan of the mobile software that comes with the printer. I up'd my "overall rating" to a "5" since the Brother SDK team got a bug with IPP printing fixed for me. So, for the price, I definitely recommend this printer; there's a lot of value for the buck. ... show more

  • Wireless connection is conveient but communication speed
Model name: Model: QL820NWBC
I have Brother QL-800 printer. I bought this one because of wireless connection. The set up is simple and easy to use. The only drawback of wireless connection is the communication speed is slower than connecting by wire of my QL-800. I still recommend this one if you are ok for bulky adpator and size of the printer. ... show more

  • How did I ever live without this?
Model name: Model: QL820NWB DIFFERENCE:USB Host...
I would give it five stars, but it took longer to install than I would have liked. Granted, I was going for a more complicated installation then just push and play. It is now up and working seamlessly on both my Windows 10 machine and my Galaxy S8 plus phone over my home wifi system. I will be using it to label the tops of cans of food in my cupboard. I have them in Ben boxes that I can slide out of the shells, and I want to put the name and the total calories on a sticker on the top of each can so I don't have to pull them out and look. I am also going to put little round. Stickers on the top of all of my spices so I can see at a glance what they are. ... show more

  • Little Workhorse
Model name: Model: QL820NWB DIFFERENCE:USB Host...
MY old P-Touch died and I replaced it with this versatile, fast, label printer from Brother. Looked at the entire line and discarded the other models in the line settling on this version. I have it connected over bluetooth rather than wirelessly, but my wife borrows it and uses it wireless for her classroom needs. It is fast, convenient and sturdy. It automatically reads the size tapes installed as a final check before printing. Saved me a few times since my wife installed a different size for her uses and I was unaware of the change. I have not found any blank tapes that have not worked in it, but I am purchasing only compatible tapes to save the expense. ... show more

  • FALSE ADVERTISING, THIS PRINTS UP-SIDE-DOWN, ALL PICTURES WITH LABEL COMING OUT ARE FAKE!
Model name: Model: QL820NWB DIFFERENCE:USB Host...
Never seen so many false advertising pictures on one product. This printer prints every label up-side-down and cuts it completely off so it falls on the floor up-side-down... As others have comment, it doesn't fully support printing from Windows/MS Word/Other programs. Brother support did not support anything other than their program. I was able to print from Word with continuous labels as long as the label document was 2.5 inches or longer, anything less and "wrong roll size". ... show more
