  • Stay cozy warm even in winter months
I love these infrared electric heaters. Their advertises indoor outdoor, and we used them in an enclosed garage for a large event that we had. We were able to set up tables and everybody hung out in the garage. We were totally comfortable during a really cold event. I would recommend for anybody needing to feel cozy through the winter. ... show more

  • Heats Objects not the air (and you are an object in this case)
Works extremely well. This is a radiant heater - it does not heat up the air. It heats up objects. So don't aim it into open space. Instead aim it at the floor, a wall, your weight rack, work bench etc. (maintaining a safe distance). It will heat the objects it is pointing at (including you) and then those objects will radiate heat to warm the room. So taking a garage from 40 degrees to 60 degrees would take a very long time, or multiple heaters. I use it in my garage at those same temperatures, and have it pointed at my weight rack. The weight rack acts as a 'radiator', and I am plenty warm. Alternatively - leave it on overnight on low (pointed at the interior wall) so your garage doesn't get as far behind. Additionally, insulate your garage doors (if not already) as heat loss will be a bigger enemy. ... show more

  • Works great, cord has short shelflife
These are just over two years old, but they aren't used all that much. It is a great product for how it works. Just two issues - the cord is fraying (on both, I have two) and the remote stopped working (for one, pretty early on). It provides great heat, easy to move around. Makes no noise, so way better than any blower type heater. It is great inside and out. We use on chilly summer nights on the deck and inside when we only want to heat one area of our house. Really like these, but reluctant to repurchase due to the cord situation. ... show more

  • Did not warm up my garage space. Not an adequate solution.
Heater cannot warm a garage space or patio. It does create adequate heat. If you are standing in front of it from 3-5 feet, you will feel heat but it did not make a difference in my garage space. 1st test, after a 2-hour test run, the temp did not increase. 2nd test, the heater was aimed at a metal garage door hoping the door would absorb irfrared rays and warm the garage. After 1 hour the metal door was not warm. The door was 9 feet from the heater (see pic). If the heater was installed on the wall or ceiling (mounts included) a person would be too far away from it to receive heat emission. ... show more

  • great heater
great heater works really great in not so well insulated room.. You have to point it right where you are at. won't heat whole room. you have to adjust the distance from where you are and the heater. to get warm. it's a good heater at a lower price

  • Easy to set up
It's surprising how well this heats in my situation. I used to use a small regular space heater with a fan and at 1500 watts on a cold day in the garage it would be barely noticeable. The infrared aspect of this heater is a game changer for me. It won't heat up a garage but it will warm me comfortably where I work. ... show more

  • Great Product
Easy to put together. I'm using it to heat a 2 car garage, and as promised it heats the area safely and very well. I bought this to replace forced air ceramic heater and it's night and day. It's also VERY nice to not have hot air blowing at like you get with ceramic heater. It just warms as it should. Wish I would have switched sooner. I only utilize a quarter of the garage as work area. The rest is vehicle and storage. Great product. As described. ... show more

  • Works well in my garage
It has worked really well in my 2 car garage. I mostly use it to keep a resident cat warm in winter. We had some very cold nights this winter & it kept the garage in the 30's on the coldest days. For those I put it on the highest setting, but it has 3 to choose from. It doesn't blow the heat, so if you need that, it's not for you. And it does use a decent amount of electricity, judging by my electric bills. ... show more
