Brita has been around for a long time and the pitchers and filters are a great solution to having safe, cold water all the time. For me the decision was what size, and since I have a small refrigerator, the 5-cup size was perfect. That may not be the case for a large family.

It is great for purifying small amounts of water. Easy to use and the filters are very good at making the water safer to drink.

I’m rather particular about my water but this little Brita does the job. Eliminates most of the tastes associated with typical tap water, slim fit so works well when you don’t have a lot of space, and easy to clean and install the filter. I liked my other brita filters with the attached lid, I tend to have issues with this one sliding off but not a deal breaker for us.     • Meets my height requirement, but lacks in some ways too
I needed a filtering water pitcher that would fit in a mini-fridge. That limited my choices based on height, and this unit seemed to find the balance between using the same filter we use in our other pitchers while being compact. It mostly is as expected, but the "about" information appears to be cut/paste from other Brita pitchers, and there are some other quirks. Pros: Meets the compact requirement. I needed something 9.1" or less, and this came it at about 9". It's a tight fit, but it is indeed a fit. Uses a standard filter (Note that it does use the type that is keyed - with one of the fins in the pitcher being larger than the rest - some generic filters don't allow for that, but most do). Cons: Despite the "About" information saying it has a use indicator, it does not. Instead, it gives you a monthly calendar sticker to put on your fridge plus a removable sticker to move around remind you of the next date to change the filter. I've seen complains about the top requiring a level of some sort to get it off. I found this to have a tab hanging over near the handle that makes removing the top to fill it doable. It's not as easy as the tip-up lid, but it's functional. What does seem to take a contortionist is removing the fill basin at the top for cleaning. Again, it's doable, but it is very snug and isn't easy to get a hold on to lift it eavenly enough for it to come out. Overall, my first impressions are that it isn't fantastic, but solidly in the "It will do" category. For this kind of product, I would expect first impressions to be pretty accurate over the long-haul. I'm not sure I would buy it again, but I'm definitely not going to return it either. ... show more

I wanted a small pitcher with a filter to put in my Airbnb room for guests to use. I am trying to get away from plastic water bottles. This is a good size for occasional use and for the space I had available. This came with a basic filter so when it is done, I will get the LongLast filter so I won't have to change it as often and it will remove lead from the water as well. Decent price for the product after going to local stores and seeing what was available. I like the ones with the filter change lights on top. This does not have that. There is a vinyl stick on chart with a water dot you place on the month when the filter needs to be changed next. Low tech but adequate for my needs. Good value but I have a larger and fancier pitcher for my personal, everyday use in my kitchen, which I prefer. ... show more

I brought this with me on are cruise and used it in are room, water never tasted so good. Fitted in my luggage and it’s pretty sturdy too. I will be taking it camping and to Jamaica too! Great size and product to trust!
