This is an awesome product. When I lived with my parents, I didn't have to worry about water. My mother boiled a water every day, and there was always plenty of water in a refrigerator even though there are four members in my family. After I left my home, I had to buy 3 L of water every day. It was really irritating!!! I could learn how irritating and annoying chore my mother has done for more than 20 years for family. Below are the reasons I decided to buy Brita. 1. Water bottle is too heavy. 2. I cannot imagine pay 2 dollars for water bottle. 3. How can I consume more than 3 L every day? Am I a hippo?! I am sure that this is the best decision I made in 2022. I usually boil the water that was purified by Brita. Camomile, peach detox, and earl grey are my favorites. I especially love earl grey tea. It makes me remind of the milk tea I ate in my home country. There was a franchise coffee shop that sells 'royal milk tea'. They used Twinings's earl grey. I really miss this menu. ... show more

    • It's a Little Heavy but Works Fine...
I gave this Brita pitcher 4 stars only because it feels like the plastic is a bit thin and they could have made it a bit thicker and sturdier but I'm being super-picky. I've owned other Brita pitchers before and this feels thin in comparison. Also, when this one is filled, it feels heavier than our previous filter. It's either that or my wrist is getting weaker. I am glad I did not buy this size for my 80-year old mother because there's no way she would have been able to lift this sucker. It's that heavy. I bought her the 5-cup Brita pitcher and she was thrilled and now I wish I had bought one for myself because this one is too heavy. What I end up doing is not filling it up all the way. I either fill it up half way or two-thirds of the way. All that said, I trust Brita and their water filtration systems to the end of the world and would recommend any of their products over any other filtration systems. Went from slow as molasses Propur pitcher (that broke down in less than a month) to this fast af Brita pitcher and all I can say is WOW! My tap water no longer tastes like metal, more like Poland Spring! Ok, maybe not THAT good but it’s pretty darn close! I was starting to get skeptical after my bad experience with the Propur pitcher but this just blows it out of the water (no pun intended)! It’s fast af, tastes great, easy to maintain, did I mention fast af? Like seriously, you can get 1 cup of water in like 2-3 mins, which compared to the Propur is just WOW! Things to note: - I only put enough water so that the filtered water doesn’t touch the bottom of filter. I don’t think this will affect the taste/quality but I just like being sure. - Make sure to give the filter a good THWACK on the top so that it stays secure to the housing and groove - Follow the directions on the manual. Our water tastes horrible- I wasn't will to put in an whole house water purifier, nor was I willing to be a slave to bottled water delivery, so I got this. Super simple. I filter the water and put it in gallon jugs in the fridge. I opted not to get the one with the thing that tells you when to change the filter- easy enough for me to keep track- plus, I imagine the water will start tasting crappy again. My tap water is so nasty it taints the taste of anything you use it in. My apartment is too small for one of those water dispensers and any other kind of water purification systems I can not install due to the type of faucet I have and inability to make changes like that to a rental. This pitcher filters water and takes out all the contaminants that previously made my water gross. You do have to make sure the filter is lined up and snapped in place. I saw in other reviews people had issues due to them not putting it in correctly. I’ve had it a few months and fill the pitcher twice a day and the original filter is still working without having to change it out. ... show more
