This is my second pellet smoker. This first was a Pit Boss. It was ok but now I needed something bigger and more consistent. The Brisk it Grill exceeded my expectations. The cooking surface is deeper not just wider. The fire pot is located in the center with a heat baffle above it. There are no hot spots! The smoke and heat comes over the sides of the huge grease catcher. It’s not in my pics but I placed a thermometer while cooking and moved it to deferent locations and the heat didn’t vary more than a couple of degrees. Hotter up top. But more importantly the temp was never more than 4 degrees off of my set temperature whenever I checked. Control panel was simple and easy to use. Turn the knob and press it. Priming took about 5 minutes and temp of 225 was reached in about 12 minutes. Construction and design is something to appreciate. The smoker is heavy. The metal looks and feels sturdy. Side mounted tray to the hopper lid, solid. The brisk it smoker has a ash and grease collection system that is out of sight. This gives it a really clean appearance plus it’s simple to use and easy to clean. Assembly was straight forward with easy to understand instructions and all tools needed is included. . A second set of hands would be helpful but I was able to knock it out in just under an hour. I’m fairly handy. The brisket I made came out pretty good for my first try. Nice color and smoky. It was juicy in the thicker parts not as juicy at the thinner side but not dry. Not the smokers fault. I could’ve pulled it off sooner. I also let it rest wrapped in a towel for 2 hours. I didn’t use the Brisk It pellets. It wasn’t available on Amazon when I purchased the smoker. It’s available now and it’s on its way. I’ll smoke another brisket when the pellets arrive. So I’ll review the pellets then.

I planned to buy and different brand but after seeing the Brisk It grill and the great price I bought the Brisk It instead and happy I did. So far I have cooked two briskets and a rack of pork ribs. This grill holds the temp within 5 to 7 degrees of target temperature. Very adequate amount of smoke. Haven’t tried loading a recipe in for Vera to auto cook yet but that’s not why I bought it anyway. Heavy construction, very good quality. If it last as long as my old Pit Boss I will be very very pleased because I’ve had the Pit Boss 17 years and it’s still going with never an issue with it. I just wanted an upgrade.

I was looking for a 2 person household smoker with WiFi functionality for under 800 $. Did some research and learned that all other companies start putting smart tech in starting at the 650+ in² models which start at around 700 dollars. That would mean I'd be only using around 25% of its capacity but still produce more smoke and use up more pellets. So I found this one as it was still in the pipeline and not yet available. Waited over a month to finally put my order in. Received it two days later and finished the first racks of spare ribs today. Assembly, setup and seasoning were super easy and the app works great. Comes with 1 temperature probe and offers two 3.5 mm jack receptacles. The app does not feature many recipes so far but I'm sure it will be more and more as it grows. Grill is sturdy, easy to use, clean and maintain. It offers enough space for two st Louis ribs, two pork shoulders or one brisket. If you stack ribs vertical it has enough soace for 6 or more racks. Hopper takes like 15 lbs of pellets. After 7 hrs of use at 230°F it used up approximately 25% of the pellets. I'm confident that it would run for close to 24 hrs without refill. So far I'm extremely satisfied. Down sides that could affect someones decision: it comes with black coated stainless steel grates (not cast iron) and theres no way to get the ashes out by an external shaker or so like on the other models. Vacuum worked great though after it was cooled off. Pretty much thing you'd expect for that price segment and I can totally live with.

AWFUL experience!!!! Not only did my grill come pre-scratched, but several components were bent which I ignored as I was excited for my first smoker. This thas been NOTHING less than a headache. Btw the 450 only fits about 4 whole chicken legs. One it doesn't hold temp, overheated to almost 500 during my first cook. Then it just stopped holding temp all together and just kept dropping after trouble shooting. I lost $100 worth of meat, RUINED after fighting with this grill all day. Customer service wasn't much help and responses take about 24 hours, so if you're in the thick of it, don't bother! Wifi disconnects as soon as you walk away and if you're over 5'4", this would be really annoying to use as it is so short. AI features aren't fully developed and the app is kind of worthless grill was almost 400 and it doesn't even notify you if it goes outside of your desired temp. You basically gave to watch the grill all day. Waste of money and time.
