I received this product in exchange for my honest review as part of the Amazon Vine Program. Seller the Brio Store lists this as "Brio Moderna UV Self Cleaning Bottleless Water Cooler Dispenser with Filtration – Adjustable Temperature – Digital Clock – LED Nightlight – Tri Temp Hot, Cold, and Room, Black Stainless Steel". This is a great Hot and Cold Filtered Water Dispenser that uses my household water supply and was a simple plumbing install for me. It is compact and comes VERY well packaged. I recommend cutting the tape on the box bottom after laying it down, stand it up and lift off the entire box - the unit sits on a padded inner tray. Picture 1 shows the unit still on the tray with the corner guards and box off. Picture 2 is after removing the inside sealed filters in their foam holder and other packing. Attractive unit! The Black SS finish hides fingerprint smudges well and is easy for me to clean. Note the unit has a handle attached to the rear cooling coil rack to allow a grab there for lifting which is very useful. (Picture 3). I left the information and top instruction stickers on until I was all done. All the parts I received are seen in Picture 4. Don't lose the little blue plastic clips as I used all of them and there are no spares. This has okay instructions which need just a bit more detail. They do not mention the little blue plastic waterline clips that need to be carefully clipped on wherever the white tubing connects. This will involve moving the gray or white plastic waterline tubing plug outward with a thumbnail or the tubing cutter tool U. (Picture 5 & 6). Look at the assembled line for how the clips fit. The clips lock in the tubing and MUST be used. I used the provided PTFE plumbers tape on my main water supply connections for the brass fitting and made sure there were no leaks before proceeding. My house has older plumbing that needed a new water supply flex line, no big deal or expense. The final Picture 11 shows a tiny drip that eventually went away after 2 days with a plastic container beneath to catch the seepage from the water supply valve stem - old plumbing! Over tightening connections can make things worse if it is a tiny amount of seepage. Sometimes washers and connections will seal up as mine did after the washers swell a tiny bit and the connections become well seated. Picture 4 is of the parts and big filtration cartridges. DO NOT Plug in or turn on the unit. I recommend leaving your white line long to allow reach from behind the dispenser. I followed all the clear steps to flush the filters. Picture 8 shows a flood of carbon particles from a filter - my tap water looks grey! This is why the flush is needed. Once flushed, the 3 filters can each be installed in order. The instructions don't mention that the filter receptacles tilt outward to help me plug in and mount each filter in order 1-2-3. (Picture 9). I made a loop with the cartridge flush head with drain tubing to let me hang it inside the cabinet door for future use. To remove the plug in the back of the unit to connect the water line I had to gently press the grey collar IN then remove the intake plug. Don't just try pulling it out. Add the intake line to the unit intake plug, put on a blue clip, turn on the water valves to let the dispenser fill. Once full, plug in the power cord (Use a GFCI outlet preferably-Picture 10). DON'T Turn On the rear switches yet! Remove the touch screen protective film if not done already, set time and temps - follow the instructions precisely to get it to set up. Then I used a big pot to catch the water I dispensed from the front spigot to flush the hot and cold water reservoirs as instructed one at a time. Now I turned on the rear power switches and waited to allow the tanks to heat and chill. The dispenser Hot and Cold symbols light up until my chosen preset temps are reached which will take 30 minutes or so. The water dispensed tastes great! The chilled is quite cold ~40 degrees Fahrenheit (set your own temp). The Hot is 174 degrees F which I measured. Know that there is an about one ounce of waterline water common to both tanks that dispenses before the real hot or cold water flows out, so the temp will be less for the Hot if I just dispensed COLD. There is also a direct room temp filtered water button. This unit runs quietly. The Night Lite can be on or off. Power use - I'll see as time goes on. I really appreciate never lugging a 5 gallon water jug again! I highly Recommend this Brio Moderna UV Self Cleaning Bottleless Water Cooler Dispenser. The filters have a 950 Gallon rating and should last as much as 3 to 6 months.

For reference, we have a similar Brio unit in our kitchen, and it works well. This one is in our on-site office building, and is upgraded in several ways over the other one. Installation took me less than an hour. I put it near a wall that has a bathroom on the other side. I ran the included tubing through the wall into the vanity cabinet and used the included connector to install it into the cold water line. Then I connected it to this unit and plugged it in. I turned on only the main power switch, and only turned on the other switches after the tanks filled. Then we followed the instructions on the sticker on the top and set the temps and clock. As instructed we ran a gallon or so of water through both hot and cold. Then we waited an hour or so and tried it out the cold water was cold and the hot was hot enough for tea. The flow rate is good, and the water tasted good as well. I do wish the lights would stay lit on the buttons all the time. They are hard to see when the lights are off. Also, it took us a minute to figure out the hot. There is a lock button to the left of it. You have to slide your finger from the lock button to the hot for it to work. Anyway, it works well, and we like it.

We have several Brio water dispensers. Some have better features than others, but they all perform about the same main function. Which is to offer cleaner, better-tasting water than you can ever expect from a simple purifying pitcher. We needed to set one of these up in a rental unit. There was always an issue with the "city water" in the area, particularly the color (on bad days it looked like tea). This took care of that problem. Put simply, the asking price is worth it when it comes to your health and peace of mind. The hot water dispenser is also a great touch, nice for when you want to a enjoy a hot cup of cocoa with someone on a chilly night.
