  • A little noisy but it works great
Color: Stainless Steel
The media could not be loaded. My husband works from home and has been wanting a water dispenser for his office, so we ordered the Brio 130SS. It's compact, so it fits in a tight space, which is ideal for his limited space. It also looks nice, which helps keep his workspace professional for video calls. The water dispenser is made well, feels sturdy, and the materials are of good quality and look like they'll last for some time. The cutout for drink containers is roomy enough to hold our 46-ounce tumblers but also doesn't splash when a smaller item like a mug or plastic cup is used. Up until now, my husband has been using a kettle to boil water, and since the other dispensers we've used didn't get the water hot enough for his tea, we weren't expecting to put the kettle away for this one. To our surprise, the heater on this one works great, dispensing 170-degree Fahrenheit water consistently. The cool side also maintains a 58 degree temperature, which is ideal for a crisp glass anytime he wants it. Both options do so quickly at the touch of a button on the top of the machine, and for those who have little kids in the house, the child lock works, so there should be no concern about scalding from curious pressing. One of the things that attracted us to this machine is the bottom-load design, since our backs are getting older with the rest of us. The system works with a five-gallon jug, which is a little small for multiple people, but it's just him, so it should last around a week to a week and a half, which isn't bad. When a new jug is needed, the process is simple and quick, and detailed well in the manual. The only thing to highlight is that the original cap needs to stay on the water jug (at least for the ones we get) in order to get a tight fit. It isn't anything that makes the process harder, but it's something we need to remember as removing the top has become automatic thanks to the other beverage items in our lives. The only complaint I have is that it's a little on the noisy side, as shown in my video. It isn't "drown out conference calls" loud, and not heard by people on the other end of phone calls, but it is noticeable when in the office. It doesn't bother my husband, but for people who get easily distracted by noise, it might be a problem. For the price (currently $141), we're thrilled with this unit and the value it provides. It does everything we expected and more. ... show more

  • Efficient and easy to start up!
Color: Black
This is a water cooler where the bottle is located on the bottom instead of the top. This makes it instantly easier to use, as you don't have to lift a multiple gallon sized bottle, risking spillage and slipping. It uses a suction system to pump water up into the reservoir where it can be heated or cooled. It can get hot enough to make tea or noodles, it can be ice cold for a refreshing drink, or it can be room temperature for people who like to drink their water that way. The machine is shorter than you would think and relatively narrow and compact for what it does. It is probably just slightly taller than a normal water cooler without its bottle sticking out of the top. I am actually thinking of putting this thing on my kitchen counter to get it off the floor; we will still be able to reach up to fill a cup or bowl. Overall this is an incredible product that is simple, lightweight, and foolproof. There are no extraneous buttons or fancy settings, you simply tell it the type of water you want and it dispenses it. Because it works from a metal straw and hose dipping into the water, you could theoretically use different sizes and quantities of water and still be okay. I think I will stick with the regular 5 gallon bottles since I can fill them up for pennies at my local grocery store. An excellent addition to any house, whether or not you already have a water purification or distribution system. You can put it in a home office, next to exercise equipment, or in a kid's bedroom so they can make their own tea and snacks. Very nice and simple! ... show more

  • Great design, works great, love the hot water
Color: Stainless Steel
I previously had a top load water cooler that leaked overnight and nearly ruined my floors. I didn't think I'd replace it since I was afraid of that happening again, but then I saw this. I didn't even know they made bottom load water coolers, but it makes so much more sense to me. It's easier to set up and there's no worry of leaking. This water cooler is a bit noisy. However, I prefer room temp water, and I can get cold water from my fridge, so I don't keep the cold function turned on, and that significantly reduces the noise. Now it's completely silent except for a few seconds every 15 minutes or so when the water reheats, or when you're actually dispensing the water. But most of the time it's silent. The room temperature water is fine, although it seems a bit warmer than room temp to me. My favorite thing is the hot water. It's hot enough for me to make tea which is so convenient. I don't have to bother with the kettle or wait for it to heat up. It's just hot water on demand whenever I want tea. It looks nice, it's made well, and it doesn't take up too much space. So far, it has worked perfectly and completely exceeded my expectations. ... show more
