January '24 Update - Have been using this the last month-LOVE IT. Works great , easy to use, splits everything I've tried. So easy I take it out on each trip to the woodpile. I get the whole logs, split up a few i need for the fire that night. VERY SATISFIED, Id buy again! Dec '23 review-Took this out to the woodpile and decided to give it a try. Ended up splitting 5-6 logs. It was quick, easy and worked great. And I was not dressed for log splitting, it was that easy. These were 1 1/2 to 2 year old hardwood logs. Cant wait to get back and split more logs. Bought this bc of its larger diameter than some of the other models. Glad I did! Seems well built, sturdy. I'll follow up when i get out and split more. But I like it!

This product works great splitting wood 6-in diameter or less. I love it it's great for splitting my kindling. I do have someone that is larger than this will hold. I have also purchased one that has a half moon ring instead of a full ring that way the larger wood will be able to be split as well. I will keep this one to split the smaller stuff. I love it it works great it's sturdy it's stable. It holds the wood in place so you can use two hands on your sledgehammer. I am an elderly woman. This is fantastic! I love it!

I liked how sturdy rigid it was made I use it for 2 x 4s and 4 x 4s only thin I would suggest is mount it to something sturdy with the screws that came with it, very good quality made I use it all the time and the, I call it the splitting blade is still sharp and splits right thru the wood. excellent product the price shocked me how low it was for the rigid sturdiness of the product.

I bought this in anticipation of our first winter in the mountand wanting to put aside some kindling to get the fires started. We had been getting our firewood ready and using an axe for the kindling. VERY UNSAFE. I had seen these advertised before so I decided to order it. It's way safe and easy to use and luckily I came out with all 10 fingers lol. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to friends and family.

So it's a sturdy piece but it doesn't work that great. You need a large mallet and a really strong swing to split anything. My husband even has difficulty with it. Don't recommend.

Sharp and works great to make your own kindling, obviously as long as the log fits within the diameter of the circle. We bolted it to a stump. Con: I would only use the bag as a storage cover, as the splitter is too heavy and sharp to risk damage to you while carrying it inside the bag.
