I bought this roof rack as it was specifically designed for my Equinox. That promise holds true as the attachment to the car uses the existing mounting bolts and no modifications are required. Getting the kit together was a minor challenge but the directions were clear so it did not take much to understand the process. I took the car out on the highway and never noticed any additional noise. That was a relief as previous racks were not as aerodynamic and produced noticeable noise at highway speeds.

The cross bars were easy to put on with the docking stations. So nice to have the bars fit like it came from the factory. The package comes with all the tools you need and the instructions are very easy to put on. Took me and a friend about 30mins to put on. No wind noise. I'm gonna use it to put a flat rack on top of my 2019 equinox for more storage.

This Review is for a 2019 GMC Terrain. Be prepared for a little frustration. You will likely need to buy new screws. Like another reviewer I also had to remove one of the rubber guards to make it fit, not a huge deal because the rubber guard peels right off. But you will likely spend some time trying to make if fit. Like others have said, one of the screws was stripped/deformed. I had a similar screw in my garage and I put it in there for now until I can get to home depot and get one that is the same color. Rubber guard and defective screw are pictured together. That being said, the cross bars are good quality and if you want to save a little money this is a good way to do it. I would suggest doing this in your garage, in the early morning or evening because if the sun is out the black parts get HOT really quick. Would also recommend laying a towel down on the roof of your car to avoid scratches from the parts or tools and to give yourself some cushion as you try to alan key the screws into the car. The screw holes are on the inside of the vertical bars....that is Chevy/GMC’s fault but it makes this all the more frustrating to assemble.

Easy to install if you follow the directions. The have a nice finish, very sturdy and it took 45 minutes to put on. Minimal wind noise. Definitely recommend. The look of OEM with a much better price tag!

I gave it 5 stars for ease of install because...it is easy to install. took me 10 mins from box open to complete install. the instructions are pretty straight forward. if anyone has issues with these instructions... its you. I gave it 3 stars for sturdiness because i wont know how sturdy it is untill i load it up with camping gear in a few weeks.l but when you firm up the mounting screws it felt sturdy when i gave them a shake tho. I gave it 5 stars for value because its not easy trying to find an affordable roof rack since the factory discontinued making roof rack rails for 2019 equinox. Cons: like some of the 1 stars reviews stated the torx wrench, that is provided to remove the factory bolts from your vehicle, has loose tolerance to fit the bolt and can potentially strip the bolt. it almost happened to me. save yourself the trouble and get a quality torx bit with a socket wrench to remove the vehicle factory bolts.
