I bought this roof rack as it was specifically designed for my Equinox. That promise holds true as the attachment to the car uses the existing mounting bolts and no modifications are required. Getting the kit together was a minor challenge but the directions were clear so it did not take much to understand the process. I took the car out on the highway and never noticed any additional noise. That was a relief as previous racks were not as aerodynamic and produced noticeable noise at highway speeds. ... show more

I gave it 5 stars for ease of install because...it is easy to install. took me 10 mins from box open to complete install. the instructions are pretty straight forward. if anyone has issues with these instructions... its you. I gave it 3 stars for sturdiness because i wont know how sturdy it is untill i load it up with camping gear in a few weeks.l but when you firm up the mounting screws it felt sturdy when i gave them a shake tho. I gave it 5 stars for value because its not easy trying to find an affordable roof rack since the factory discontinued making roof rack rails for 2019 equinox. Cons: like some of the 1 stars reviews stated the torx wrench, that is provided to remove the factory bolts from your vehicle, has loose tolerance to fit the bolt and can potentially strip the bolt. it almost happened to me. save yourself the trouble and get a quality torx bit with a socket wrench to remove the vehicle factory bolts. ... show more

My daughter purchased these for her Chev. Equinox. They were shipped promptly and arrived on the day promised. It was easy to install these roof rack cross bars and they were a perfect fit. I LOVE the locking end cap feature which will deter theft. She purchased these so we could secure a rooftop luggage carrier to the top of her car for travel. PERFECT. We do not have a roof rack on our car. It has the 4 mounting places for crossbar racks but they are no longer available from GM. These fit perfectly. We added a basket to the top that fit our Samsonite bag perfectly. Everything was securely mounted with these cross bars. Highly recommended.
