Ok so I got this to be able to easily carry my husband's folding electric wheelchair around easier than having to fold it and lift it into the cargo area. In that it's perfect, however my husband's wheelchair is narrower than most of the higher priced electric wheelchairs on the market such as jazzy etc and just barely fits. It's sturdy enough and easy enough to assemble. May be a bit heavy for elderly people as its about 75lbs assembled. Is as mentioned a bit narrow so make sure you carefully measure your chair or scooter but overall for our purpose it's a great product and price wasn't bad either compared to some on the market. ... show more

    • The ability to take the scooter without lifting it
The directions are not very clear but when together fairly easily. Needs a security strap to anchor it in transit is the inly suggestion for this.

It is a well constructed product. My only minor complaint is that the ramp when down does not lay perfectly flat on the ground, making it difficult to roll a powered product to the base. This is because of the lifting handle on the ramp.

    • Instructions are horrible
The product is very sturdy and well built. The problem is the instructions. There is not a parts list that names each part that is discussed. Also, the first instruction is to put the hitch pin in and all there is is a far away picture that does no good whatsoever. I believe you would have to have a bolt with a pin in it to hold the part to the truck's hitch but the only part that will fit the hole is a bolt with a nut which I do not want to use while driving 5 hours and letting that nut loosen which it will. Also there is no phone number to contact sevenblacksmiths, you must email them and then the response is very sparse. ... show more

I bought this to haul my mom's mobility scooter around. First, they sent a standard coarse threaded nut instead of a metric fine threaded (this 2 guys at the hardware store to help me figure out). Then I assembled this heavy thing and found out it won't sit flush or even close to the ground to load a scooter on. It isn't very well built, the welds and paint are shoddy as well. Now, I will disassemble this 100lb monstrosity to send it back. Save yourself and your back. (Also, product support is only done through a chat and can take up to 48 hrs to respond, they responded in 12 hours with no actual help) ... show more
