  • Happy with choosing this replacement shower head, no complaints. Purchased November 2024.
Size: 2.5 Gallon Per Minute Color: Brushed Nickel
Have had installed for a few weeks, seems fine with plenty of water pressure. Never had a "Square shower head" before and saved a little when purchasing on Cyber Monday 2024. Here's a few things I'd like to mention: 1. I've discovered shopping for a new shower head replacement is somewhat of a daunting task; that one may not expect at first because of the wide array of choices and features. Basically my requirements were simple in that I tried to find one that was well made from durable materials and one which would last. However, I've discovered even more expensive models have issues with leaks and other problems over time based on the Amazon reviews that I've read. Based on my own experience over the years with our home, I've changed various shower heads approximately every 4-5 years. To me they all seem to end up leaking or the water flow is diminished based on minerals in the Long Island water over time. Based on this reasoning I don't expect them to last forever and that is why I purchased this specific model which didn't seem too expensive and has most of the features I was looking for. 2. This square shower head has a larger spray area than my last (Which was round) and works perfectly without any issues whatsoever. And I would earnestly add that the large spray area is superior to past shower heads I previously used. The water pressure is fortunately plenty strong out of each individual nozzle stream. (I was a somewhat concerned / worried before ordering because I recall I had read a few reviews with this specific model that outlined "Low Pressure" but I Did Not experience this myself at all and specifically found the pressure to be very strong in fact. The square nozzle head also tilts up and down and side to side a bit, which helps shorter people like other family members. 3. The wand hose is somewhat shorter than the last model I had installed, but despite this it is more than adequate I've found to reach all areas of the body. The "Wand" has two different settings, "Spray" and "Jet" and are activated by a slide switch. The Wand setting does "Not Function at all" while the main square shower head is on and in use. I use this jet setting with the "Wand" and found it is very, very high pressure which is great. In addition, I would add the jet setting stream of the wand is ergonomically designed and works well to clean between the legs and other hard to reach spots of the body. (The "Jet setting" nozzle angels / changes the high-pressure Water flow to a "Flatter horizontal stream" opposed to Round.) 4. No issues with installation. Just needed a pair of plyers. (I used a larger channel lock plyer, but ordinary plyers should also work adequately if that's all you got on hand.) I removed my old shower head and cleaned the threads for a few seconds with an old toothbrush and soap and water. I then dried the threads with a paper towel and installed the enclosed "Pipe tape" on the water pipe that you use to screw on the nozzle. I also used this enclosed "Teflon tape" on the wand and hose fittings before installations (3 to 4 wraps on each.) No leaks or any other issues, I would say it would take about 10 to 15 minutes to remove old nozzle and install this newer model. (I turned the fittings with my fingers and made all connections finger tight first. Then I carefully tightened then each with the plyers. Don't use to much force and try not to press down or "Clamp down" too hard on the plyers, be gentle and only tighten 1 quarter turn after finger tight approximately. Be as gentle as you can with the plyers so you don't leave marks on the fittings. 5. The Wand is hung up by a small piece of plastic connector, I would expect this to break sometime in the future, so I am careful when removing the wand from the connector when using and putting it back. I would hope to get at least 3 years before it breaks, perhaps longer? In the event the "Plastic Connector" does eventually break I think a simple "S" hook would suffice in holding it up if one didn't mind it hanging. So in a nut shell; based on the features of this specific shower head and the affordable cost I feel I made a good choice when purchasing this specific model. In fact this item stood out rather quickly when comparing them side by side to other various shower heads listed on Amazon. ... show more

  • Best shower head I've used in a long time
Size: 2.5 Gallon Per Minute Color: Oil Rubbed Bronze
Since my house has a relatively small water heater, normal shower heads tend to run through our hot water stupid fast, but most the high pressure shower heads with low flow are tiny and I've run through a couple of them. I also specifically wanted a handheld option. After running through a couple shower heads I finally ordered this one, and even with the flow limiter it has really good water pressure. I also love that the handheld part attaches right to the shower head instead of needing a separate holder for it. The dial in the middle is easy to use to change modes, and both the main shower head and the handheld have good water pressure. It also didn't burn through all our hot water so it's a really good option for a high pressure, limited flow showerhead. Install was super easy, and I've had zero leaking so far (just make sure to use the included teflon tape). Thanks to the good pressure, it rinses my hair of shampoo pretty quick and I didn't feel any residue left over. Overall, I am super pleased with this so far. Probably my favorite shower head I've used in a good long while. ... show more

  • The perfect size for a compact shower stall!
Size: 2.5 Gallon Per Minute Color: Brushed Nickel
Our master bathroom has a separate tub and shower stall. The tub is rarely used, however, so the shower stall is where all the action is. The only issue with the stall though is that it's tiny and cramped. I've always wanted a huge rainfall showerhead but that's never been a practical option for the shower space we have to work with. Sure, I could technically put a 12" showerhead in it, but then there'd be nowhere to step out of the way to lather up, or to breathe for that matter. I also have 8' ceilings and a 6'4" husband, so getting a showerhead high enough to where even HE can stand under it was something I once believed was impossible. Ladies and gentlemen, with this showerhead and a curved extension arm, dreams really do come true! But seriously, I must have looked at every showerhead sold on Amazon. Price wasn't even a factor; I would have paid whatever as long as the showerhead met my requirements: - It had to be compact but still provide a more realistic rainfall experience than from a standard showerhead - It needed to have a handheld option, preferably attached to the main showerhead as I don't have any available wall space to attach one separately. - Be available in brushed nickel finish That was basically all I needed at minimum. But this showerhead exceeded my expectations. Because in addition to it providing a rainfall experience, it also provides an additional waterfall experience. Not something you typically find on rainfall showerheads; and definitely not on those thin, square ones. Not only do you get both a rainfall AND waterfall experience on the main showerhead, you get them on the handheld too! Some people might wish there were more than just two spray modes, but personally I find that these two are the only ones I need. Basically, I just need a regular shower mode and a power rinse mode. I have extremely long hair that needs decent water pressure to ensure all the shampoo is rinsed out. Otherwise my scalp can get itchy and flaky with residue. I have no complaints with the water pressure on this thing, and as others have done I removed the flow restrictor which is super easy to do with just a pair of tweezers. However, I do have two complaints about this showerhead which is why I deducted a star. 1) There's no water pause feature. This is a MUST for me. You see, turning off the water from the knob is not an option if I need to temporarily stop water flow when shampooing my hair or lathering my sponge. That is because we have an impractical water heater that is tankless and that one tankless heater is for the entire house. It's a 4 bedroom house with an old, long plumbing system so hot water takes forever to get from the heater to the shower. In other words, hot water doesn't stay in the pipes so it saves water and time if I can just pause the flow instead of switching it off entirely during my shower. My last showerhead didn't have a pause feature either, but I remedied this by purchasing a separate flow restrictor valve that you can screw onto the showerhead. The valve has a dial that you can turn to adjust water flow manually, from full power to completely off. I just wish I didn't have to spend more to get what I think should be a standard feature on every showerhead. 2) I'm concerned about the long-term durability of the plastic holder for the handheld. It is VERY taught. On the one hand, the handheld isn't going to budge once it's in place. On the other, it makes it somewhat laborious to remove the handheld and put it back. I can't do it one handed without the main showerhead tilting, which I hate. So I hold onto the main showerhead with my left hand, and pull the handheld out with my right. A handheld that isn't attached to the main showerhead would be better, but like I said I don't have the wall space to accommodate one. So it's just something I deal with. My previous showerhead had a magnetic attachment for the handheld which I liked better, but I like the overall design of this one better. What can I say. It isn't perfect, but I absolutely love it. It's exactly what I needed and I have no regrets. I haven't seen another showerhead that compares to this one at all in terms of size and spray modes. And it's not terribly expensive so as long as it lasts at least two years I'd have no problem buying another one to replace it. But hopefully it lasts a lot longer than that! ... show more

  • Well done!
Size: 2.5 Gallon Per Minute Color: Oil Rubbed Bronze
I don't often write reviews unless a product is THAT good. This shower head kit is elegant. Installation took five minutes TOPS. No tools needed. Maybe scissors to cut the teflon tape. When installed, it looks like something from a space movie. Water flows from this thing like it's 1999. Obviously, I got the 2.5GPM version. It actually gets you wet. The hand-held unit looks like a microphone from a recording studio. Everything is solid and feels like it will last. It is so cool it gets me out of bed on a cloudy morning. ... show more
