I use this for my cats litter trash and it’s not an eye sore. I love that it has a handle so I can easily go outside when it’s time to throw the litter. I placed a odor absorbing satchel on the inside lid and the combo works well. They have different sizes but I mainly use this one for our downstairs litter which is not as heavily used. I mostly bought this item because of it’s sleek appearance and the blue color is really amazing. It’s a great size for lots of uses but I use it as a compost pail. The lid stays on snugly but slips off pretty smoothly. With the swinging handle it’s super easy to dump all the veggie trimmings and coffee grounds right into the compost pile and rinse with the hose close by. I use this bin as a garbage bin and it's been great! I bought the largest one for my small kitchen and it's super functional, cute, and doesn't take up a lot of space and it's very affordable. I bought the middle size one for my bathroom to use as a garbage bin there too and it's perfect. I looked at tons of different products/garbage bins and there are so many expensive ones that are just really big and not what I needed. For my small family of two this works perfectly. ... show more

This was one of the few litter pail options I could find that is short enough to fit inside our litter box cabinet (it looks like a long end table but has a cat hole in one side). Due to the comments here about how expensive and difficult the liners are to buy I also purchased a set of the C 10-12L Simple Human trash can liners to go with the 12L can. The liners are a tad small for the bin but can be used - a little dexterity is required so I wouldn't recommend using the Simple Human liners with this if you have serious arthritis or if you want kids to empty the pail. I'm using crystal litter which dries out the turds and does not clump. I'm confident the liner will hold up for that. If you're planning to fill this with heavier content such as composting or clumping litter I'm not sure if the Simple Human liner will hold up or end up slipping in. I'll update this after a couple months as I see how it holds up to the contents and how the smell is. ... show more

I like that is is tall & thin so it doesn't take up much room on my counter. Our county just started organic recycling so I am using it for our kitchen waste. It is working very well! Lid stays up when opened, which I like so I don't have to keep opening if I am doing a bunch of stuff.

Bought 2 of these to replace the bins in my under cabinet trash drawer. They are about half the size of the originals but because they have lids my odor problem was solved. Easy to clean, the lid design makes it easy to replace the liner. Don't tip over. Sturdy and quiet. After 10 months they still look like new. One of the best purchases I have made on Amazon. I loved this can from a distance. Perfect size. Perfect shape. Sturdy. Easy to clean. Nice handle. (Lovely blue color.) The issue is that there's nothing holding the removable cover in place. When you lift the lid, there's a strong possibility that the whole cover will come off in your hand. Having said that, I purchased it for my teen daughter's bathroom and, even though her comment drew my attention to the issue, she's okay with it. I bought this to put outside to collect dog poop. It is very well built. I've had it for a few weeks now and it stays outside through sun and rain. I put a rock in it to keep it stable in storms.
