I bought this to strengthen up in preparation for a knee replacement (the elliptical was getting too hard with declining knee health). The magnetic resistance is ideal; some of the journey trainers opt for super-light resistance with higher RPM workouts, which suited my bone-on-bone knee… The variety of workouts on jrny app were sufficient, I opted for a year subscription after the 2 month trial. UPDATE: so far, I’ve experienced Jrny app issues - 3 times (in months) in mid-workout, it stops reading things like resistance setting and RPM speed (which it app workouts use for “effort” guide). I’ve reported the bug - getting “function” back is as simple as stopping, restarting the workout - which seems like an unnecessarily simple software bug. I hope they get this straightened out soon (it basically makes it impossible to continue w/ the workout, as you can’t track nor get effort feedback). I put this upstairs in a spare BR so after surgery, workouts and shower would be on the same floor. I chose to put exercise matts down under the cycle, on top of the carpet. Even with the “core muscle engagement” of the “leaning”, this is fully stable (I’m 6’3”, 225lbs… so I had concerns - but no problems). Delivery, shape of everything was fine. With my knee, I got the frame upstairs on a hand-truck, still attached to its foam packing, with a neighbor’s help just in case. No drama, simple. The price through here definitely was a factor of not ordering through Bowflex, but the device I like quite a bit better than our son-in-laws (much more expensive) Peloton. 2 nits about the product: - handlebar adjustment: I would like some forward/aft adjustment. I’m tall, but unusually so in the torso, so the “lean-over” I wish was a tad less, would prefer the handlebars back an inch or so… - Bowflex heart rate monitor: I have an Apple watch, didn’t care to swap it with the Bowflex device every workout. Fortunately, there’s an app which connects to the device (ignore what Bowflex and Apple say). For free, it provides 20 minutes of monitoring HR over your apple watch (you’ll use your phone - I have iPhone - as an intermediary connection device). I liked it enough, that I didn’t hesitate to purchase the unlimited “pro” version for $20-some (don’t recall now: 24? 22? - whatever, well worth it). Each workout, fire the app in your phone, connect in the jrny screen, and go. There were reviews here which recounted “clicking” in the Bowflex. I paid a LOT of attention, and thought I heard something the first days - in careful inspection: **it was my bad knee!!!** The bike operation is unflawed for me. Good value. Good quality. I like the workout programs and options (so many - actually quite nice options). I’m really happy with this purchase.

I feel that this bike is a great value. The pros much outweigh the cons. I bought it because my bike trainer broke this past spring and I need something for winter training in the basement. I looked at fluid trainers, the Wahoo Kickr, and other stationary bikes. I think this will provide a great training option thru the off season. And my husband can use it also. Pro's: Easy to assemble - took 40 minutes to unbox it, 90 or so to set up, another 40 to sign up and set up JRNY app Very quiet I do like the JRNY app, as far as the video workouts and the journal it keeps You can put your own pedals and saddle on. The tilt is a great option. Cons: The saddle (seat) is awful. It's like they split the difference between a good saddle and something the average consumer would like. For me, it's too wide and too soft. I'll be replacing it with a road bike saddle. I wish the handle bars rotated with the tilt (like a RealRyder bike). I've had this 3 weeks so far. Will update in a few months. I want to see how it links to Zwift.

I was really excited when I saw this bike and price here by this seller. I'll start by saying the bike and parts all arrived quickly and as expected. Assembly was easy (and much faster with a socket set). My bike functioned great with the exception of the tilt control lever, my wasn't working. I called up Bowflex support to troubleshoot/get a replacement part. Turns out that the actual seller wasn't an authorized reseller and thus voids the warranty. That said, the Bowflex support was super helpful still and sent the parts I needed to get my new bike fully functional. I'm happy with my purchase, but wanted to make certain that others are aware of the voided warrant that I discovered.

I'm chocked at this bike, factory faulty, in 2 of them. I wish I took in consideration the reviews that spoke about this sound. making is short now (till I have time to write a detailed review) this bike started making a loud sound n I could feel it too, like other said, it starts 5-7 mn after biking, n it goes louder n louder like a train when it starts going, once the I stop and the bike cools off after few hrs, it will start okay, but will come up again after minutes of biking. Well, it was still on the amazon return frame, i got a replacement, a huge hassle to disassemble it n return to receive the 2nd one and assemble it that one again, few biking sessions on the second one.. n guess what.. this one does it too, but differently this time, this one's clicking sound comes, n goes.. comes up.. n goes.. up to now, which is a handful to a dozen of session, we will see how it does as it gets used the spinning it's created for, maybe it will build an immunity to the grinding.. :D Or that I hope.. :D The best part: check out the Bowflex customer service, I'm not saying anything about it, just call Bowflex n act like you have a problem with your new bike, n follow the process to discover the so Famous SCHWINN BOWFLEX's customer service, :D they will make you hit you head with the walls over n over for the regrets of have ever considered this crappy company. But, note this TIP: Before you call, prepare a movie, snacks n drinks while they put you on hold for hrs, so you make your phone call even more fun.. n think me for this movie suggestion thing.. ;-) Decision: I guarantee you will make you final decision after that call. This should be enough, n dont forget to read other reviews here n out there talking about this clicking train sounds prb n which all dealing with it n suffering it in "silence" because the maker does absolutely nothing about it, n yes with the Warranty. :)

The package was delivered by Amazon in great shape, no damage. I was able to assemble the bike in ~30 minutes with no problems using tools provided in the box. JRNY setup went smoothly. The bike rides smoothly and is quiet. The biggest value add for me is the ability to unlock the lean action of the bike to get a natural left/right swaying motion when peddling and the JRNY Explore the World options in the app. I enjoy peddling on a trail and leaning the bike into the corners. The music playlist feature current songs as well. Very pleased with the quality fit and finish of the bike and the value I perceive from the JRNY app combined with the lean capability. I ride various types bikes outdoors and the seat provided with the bike is ok. I am used to the firm seat on my cyclocross and mountain bikes and this seat is similar. Its not as nice as a $100+ dollar premium saddle yet I find it acceptable for its purpose here.

This bike is amazing! I loved that it came with a free 1 year subscription. The training videos are excellent with a lot of variety based on fitness level. The bike was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. I love the added feature of being able to lean side to side. I feel like I get a full body workout. This bike gives you a better workout than the peloton and is it built to last. We did a lot of research before buying an indoor bike and I’m telling you this is the best bike on the market.

Easy choice when Bowflex was shipping in 2 months and Amazon would deliver in days! I researched allll the bikes, but decided the tilt feature was what I wanted to make it more realistic of a ride. We love the bike! We are not serious spinners, but we are an active family who lives in a snowy climate for 5 months of the year. It's being used daily by my entire family, even the kids! We have our own profiles to set our own goals. Totally worth the investment to help us enjoy our workouts and keep us cardio exercising through winter and enjoying it. 😊 The tilt feature is fun and a great way to add on an additional ab workout while riding. 1 negative...the seat is SO hard!!! All of our rear ends were sore when we 1st got it. I bought a cheap gel seat cover on Amazon and that made all the difference! I wanted to try that first instead of the $40 wide seat that both left offered. I'm glad I did. Great purchase 4 months in with heavy use by ages 9-38.

This was easier to put together than I thought it'd be. The problem I have is that I had to buy a new seat. The seat that comes with the bike hurts like awfully bad.
