This is a great board! Sturdy and solid. The material on top is pretty high grit and grippy so you definitely won’t be slipping off it in socks but I would definitely recommend shoes. I bought this to use at my standing desk when I am at work to try and sneak in a core workout at the same time. The one downfall to this product is that this balance board arrived with minor cosmetic damage. When I was opening the box I heard quite a bit of rattling (not what you want to hear with a wooden product) and once opened I noticed that the safety stoppers were just free floating in the box they had came out of the small bubble wrap pouch they were shipped in. Then I’m guessing during transit them floating around caused the minor scuffs and scratches. Not to big a deal but still a disappointment. I don’t typically want new things messed up before I get to mess them up lol. Overall I would purchase this board again and will be back in a couple of months to update on how well it’s held up. ... show more

We're on a huge balance kick in our household, so in one shot we ordered a wobble cushion, 360 balance board, and this Bona roller board. Holy heck, this board is friggin' fun. Mind you, I'm not a skater or surfer, but I was a kid that loved to balance on things such as banisters and chairs. Packaging: 4/5 Board came in a simple box and the pieces were bubble wrapped inside. Nothing was damaged. If you want an eco-friendly simple cardboard box, this is 5/5. If you're buying this as a gift and want a fancy box with a cool design, this is 3/5. Materials: 5/5 Solid wood and grip. Nice wood finish. The bumpers seem to work well and don't feel flimsy. The roller is also pretty nice, but I'm not sure how long it will last. Hopefully there will be no problems in the long run. Usability: 5/5 The first time stepping on this was a trip. The second time was more familiar and got easier. The third and forth time was just me finding new limits to push towards. I'm still using the bumpers, but I feel like I'll get to the point where I won't need them soon. Can't wait. Re-buy: Yes. I will note that I wouldn't buy a product like this at over a $100 price range. But at under $75, I can definitely justify the purchase. It's hard to say if a more expensive balance board offers something better... something I'm not aware that I'm missing out on, but I'm really into this bona board and think it's worth it. start on carpet with the knobs in the short or medium position then progress to hard smooth surface and move the knobs to the long range position. Not overly challenging. the roll has a light foam surface which makes balancing easier, but avoid rough surfaces otherwise it might damage the rolls' surface. ... show more

It has a great nonslip surface, good size, ability to adjust to comfort balance level which was particularly important for me, and good value for the price. Initially, I loved the product and thought it was well constructed. After months of using it, the plastic cap at the end of the tube kept falling off. I tried siliconing it, gluing it, but it kept falling off. The tube itself is relatively cheap material. It's cardboard with felt wrapped around it. This is a lot of fun. The board looks nice, there is good traction. The instructions are quite poor, poorly translated into English as well, but you can always get ideas from YouTube on similar boards. It is important to at least start on carpeting or some other non slippery surface, it might even be important to stay on such a surface, even when you get better. I went from falling off within a second to being able to stay on for several minutes after a couple of weeks, and I am in my 60s and not an athlete. It is the kind of “exercise” that you can do for a minute here and there, it is very good for developing balance. I feel the seam that others complain about but it was never a problem. ... show more
