I think we are on our third or fourth umbrella. We feel like we finally hit the jackpot. It is very nice, very well made. The pole is sturdy and not too tall. I mention that because one of our umbrellas had such a tall pole that the sun, which travels low across our northern horizon, shone on our deck right under the umbrella! So that was a concern for us, but when this one arrived, we liked the height of this umbrella. Alaskan's take note! The winds here took our previous umbrella and tore it to shreds, it was not attached to the frame. This one is reenforced everywhere. We are totally impressed. Love this umbrella. Love the color. Quality fabric. Crank feels solid. Can't speak to how the color will hold up as I have only had it for less than a month and we are ending the season now here in Michigan. Purchased because of the 3 yr colorfastness warranty. Hoping it last longer than previous with the added venting which is why I purchased this one. Living on the lake and the winds we get, plays havoc on most umbrella's. ... show more

    • Great Buy in an 11 Footer!
Maybe you've had better luck but for us finding a quality 11 foot umbrella without using Federal Disaster Aid was a challenge. We tried a couple but there were issues the raising and lowering of the umbrella. They stuck when lowering then dropped suddenly...on you! The fabric quality was also questionable. Then we found BLUU. Great fabric, weather cover included (for when closed), and a raise/lower that just works. There is a slight downside: the unit comes with a "security key" which is a pin that simply goes through the pole that can assure the top is, well, secure (no, it's not necessary as the unit stays up). It's up there so a shorter person would have some trouble reaching it. Ending with the usual "we'll see how it lasts". ... show more

This item was not identified in the accompanying manual. It is similar to a blind person’s walking stick, but only 4’ in length. I cannot come up with a purpose. Maybe I’m just thick!

Really impressed with this umbrella and it gets complimented by visitors - the multiple wind baffles and hefty diameter pile contribute to a slightly unusual, well-crafted look. It has seemed unaffected by wind and rain so far though it's only been a few weeks. By far the best patio umbrella I've ever had.
