New Gorilla Pad makes old foam floor padding obsolete. Unlike foam, which can be easily cut by grass, roots or rocks under your liner, Gorilla Padding is impervious to almost any sharp object. Gorilla Padding is a geotextile that was developed to protect trash dump liners where any cut would be a catastrophe. Gorilla Padding is super tough, but also adds a layer of cushioning that will eliminate footprints from forming. Gorilla Pad is cut to size and seamed for your pool. I've read some reviews that it was a thin felt. Mine was not. It was very thick, almost like a blanket.     • This will absolutely protect your pool liner.
When I first unboxed this product, I was a little disappointed at how thin it appeared. However, after using it two seasons now, I see how durable it really is. This will not provide any cushion under your pool, but it will do an excellent job at protecting your liner. After the first season, we had to take down our pool to level the ground in an area that had sunk. I was amazed that here were no tears in the padding at all. Our ground is full of gravel and small stones, and it is impossible to remove them all. We even had a few larger stones that could be felt from inside the pool, and this padding I'm positive prevented damage to the liner. Highly recommend. ... show more

This is just a very thin piece of white, felt-like material, although it is stronger than felt. It certainly is not a "pad". To me, a pad suggests some kind of cushioning. It was nice that it came all in one piece. I appreciated that. The pad was delivered very fast. The status on Amazon still showed it as not having shipped the day it arrived. Several days later I got an e-mail from Amazon proclaiming it had shipped. That worried me because I had already installed the item. Being the novice pool installer, I feared that it came in two parts (the actual cushioning???). Contacted the vendor who assured me that I had everything already. ... show more

    • Don’t waste your money
This is not worth the money spent. It is just like a giant piece of felt. It already has grass growing through it. The only reason I’m not returning it is because it would be too much hassle to ship it back.
