Description

The best features of a pool step and ladder combine for safe, easy use of your pool in the Neptune A-Frame Entry System. This super-strong entry system is a hybrid between a ladder and step. It features the ease of climbing like a step with the 7-1/2 in. deep non-skid foot treads, yet only consumes a mere 22 in. of swimming space in your pool. The entry system is made from rugged resin that is U.V.-protected and maintenance-free. Double extended handrails allow small children to easily exit the pool, while a top platform protects your pool's top rail. All treads and platform are non-skid for additional safety. The Neptune Entry System is adjustable to fit pools from 48 in. to 56 in. in depth and meets all national and local codes for entrapment. The outside ladder has a self-closing gate to bar entry from little ones or unauthorized swimmers. Side wings protect kids from becoming entrapped under the stairs.

  • Complicated but worth it
It is somewhat complicated to build. But very much worth it. I used heavy duty zip ties to secure to the pool, which added stability. Recommend buying this ladder

  • Count your hardware/ check your pool height before you start
only negative. Missing a few of the hardware. This ladder is good, just make sure your pool is the same exact height inside & out. My pool is buried about 10” in the ground. So different heights. I wanted this ladder & tried to make it work but just could not make it work, with the outside yard height as opposed to the inside pool depth. Just didn’t reach all the way to the bottom of pool on the inside which made it extremely wobbly & not safe and it would kinda bob and make you fall in. If they made it adjustable where you could pick a different length for the inside of pool & outside, it would’ve been perfect !! I’m a bit older 5’2” woman & put this ladder together by myself. Didn’t think i could but i did it !!!! Just needed help putting it over pool edge. 4 1/2 stars ... show more

  • Works
The steps work great, much better than the ladder that came with the pool. You do have to make sure it's on stepping stones or solid flat and level ground. The steps are not that steep. Other than that, it's good getting in and out of pool. The lows are the landing, could be a little stronger, flexes a little more than expected for 200 lb person. The box ladder came in was beat up and had packing tape holding it together. Some of the ladder parts looked used, no problems with parts, everything fit right and were in package. The written directions are useless, pictures help but it's actually simple to put together. The price is steep, I think $250/$275 max. Update- In reference to keep steps from moving, directions stated to drill into top of pool, I disagreed with this. So I bought 4 j-bolts(clothesline hooks) and put it under top panel and pushed from bottom of platform and tightened nut. It was simple and secured the steps to pool. The steps do not shift and will not move when climbing up. ... show more

  • Well it was ok until,,,
So picture it. 4th of July weekend. In the pool cause it’s hotter than a you know what. I’m a big girl. I’ll own up to it but after 5 of my normal size friends got in then out of the pool I go to get out and all the movement popped every stair out of the holes. So my ingenious friends who are slightly drunk at this point re assemble it. Except they are men and determined to fix it from future problems. So I was stuck in the pool for two hours while they screwed everything in place so it cannot pop apart again. Literally. They brought out a drill to make sure the steps stay put. ... show more

  • Sturdier than original ladder, NOT for aging parents ar for people with strength issues!
We bought this based on the reviews thinking it would allow my mom to use the pool. She has arthritis and mixed dementia which slowly depletes climbing, walking, etc. abilities. This ladder looked sturdy and the reviews said it allowed people with arthritis to use the pool. This was not the case. The handrails are not supported/strong enough to use as as a support (would bend at about 30 degrees in each direction when being used), once the gate is attached it encroaches on the staircase and one has to adjust their climb, the pitch is not ANY greater than the ladder that came with the pool. It is nice not having to remove the ladder every night as this has a safety latch, but it was not worth our money because my mom can't use the pool. ... show more

Product arrived as advertised. Fairy easy to assemble & product is as advertised which is important to me. Gravel was difficult to get into tiny holes to weigh down steps in pool but these steps are so much better than the original steps that came with the pool. Hand rails, steps style vs ladder style with no hand rail....Definitely recommend them. (We didn't use the gate as we don't have small children.) ... show more

  • If it gets algae in it, be prepared to spend alot of money trying to get rid of it.
I would have given it a better rating but my pool kept getting algae (5 times in 3 months which was very costly to get rid of )and we found out it is coming from the part of the ladder that is in the pool. We are going to pour bleach inside the steps that go in the pool it next February to kill what algae might be left over from September 2016 then drill extra holes in it to hopefully keep the alage out. ... show more
