Blue Wave’s 15-year Solid Above-Ground Winter Covers are crafted from durable polyethylene featuring a 14x14 scrim count. Designed to protect your pool from the winter elements, these covers will not allow water to pass through the material. A black underside and heat-sealed seams keep leaves, sticks, and other debris out of your pool. Features a generous 4-ft overlap for a proper fit. I haven't found any above ground pool cover that would actually last as long as they quote. I usually get 3 or 4 years out of these covers I don't trust them to not tear and make a mess when I need to open the pool in the spring. That said - the size was good when you consider you need to drop the water level before winterizing.

The price is great, the quality is ok. I live in Las Vegas with high heat and high winds, my cover lasted about 2 years. it had become thin in a few places when we had a big wind storm hit us that ripped it up. Warrranty is started through email to which i got a quick reply. purchase info and pictures of the damage and I was asked to cover shipping of new top, and it is on it's way. I can only guess that the bad reviews are just people that did not follow directions.

First year above ground pool owner, with lots of trees in back yard. Contemplated just letting it be and dealing with dirty water in the spring. Thought about getting a large tarp and diy with water bags, cinder blocks or milk jugs , …. Until I found this relatively inexpensive pool cover, as part of a 3-product kit. Tarp fits our 30x15 oval nicely, though we did have to remove the ladder, if I was doing again I’d buy larger size. Install was straight forward, with a ratchet tool to tighten draw string around the edge. Other products in kit were chemical ball for anti bacterial agent to prevent algae, and a 3-set of pillows that did not work for us. I took them out so the water on top of the cover can find equilibrium instead of uneven pockets. S saw a friends pool without cover, and can only imagine the work and chemical expense when they go to open. Instead I’ll sump pump water and leaves off and hope it’s fresh underneath come April or May.

Bought this cover and received late October 2019 and it seemed well made. We didn't use it in the 2019/2020 season but had it stored in its box inside our home which is climate controlled. We put it on our pool last November, so 2020, and when we went to take it off June 2021, it literally began tearing apart everywhere we tried to touch it. We live near Sacramento, California - so its not like we have harsh winters. Covers are more for just keeping leaves out of pools here. I've left phone messages and have sent emails.......... Still waiting for a return reply of what they will do. DO NOT BUY..... lets see if they honor the 15 year warranty. Will update if anyone ever calls me back. UPDATE: 7/21/21 I contacted company through internet search instead of 800 # on Amazon and left message. They called me back and are replacing the liner (I will pay shipping). Will update regarding quality of the second liner in spring of 2022 after I get a chance to use it.

We purchased our cover in 2013. I have done nothing but rinse it with a hose in the driveway each Spring before letting it air dry and finally folding it up for the summer. That is it. Zero maintenance. It is still keeping every drop of dirty leaf water out of our pool. It's strange to write this in a review but thank you! You produce a quality product.

Excellent cover, very sturdy and It will last a long time. Very thick with the 14x14 scrim. Most covers are 8x8 or 7x7 scrim. I going to buy another one just to have on hand before its not available. I have a 12x21 pool and this fit it very well! The best cover I have ever ordered. I normally buy one every year but this one seems like it will last. I don't regret buying it. NOW for the hand crank-it fell apart the first time we tried to use it. It just wasn't well made or maybe the quality of the metal was bad. Keep you old one if you have one!

The cover arrived and we were immediately impressed with the look and feel of the fabric was made of. It was the perfect size and shape, which is very hard to find. As we installed it, we found it had a few grommets that missed their mark, so we contacted customer service, included a couple of photos, and within days, we got an apology, a replacement cover. We are happy with this cover, and the way we were treated.

Just opened the pool and happy to share my experience. I have an inground pool and used to have the expensive safety pool cover, it's very heavy and hard to deal with. It has decayed and broken and I don't want to spend another thousand dollar for a pool cover. My pool is fenced and I don't have little kids to worry about. So I bought this one. This is a strong cover, but after 6 inches of accumulated rain, the edge started ripping. But I have a plan B. I loosed and extended the rope so that the cover actually sits on top of the water. I had drained the pool water 3 feet below the skimmer line, more than recommended because I was concerned the cover is not water proof and too much rain and snow would raise the water level. Since the cover is very large, it is still able to drape around the pool and overlap the edge about 2 feet. I did use a sump pump to drain the water on top of the cover about every 3 months because there is so much rain and snow. Now I just drained the water on top of the cover, cleaned up the leaves and opened the pool. The cover is not light, but it is manageable. By the way, the cover seems like it is water proof since I can't tell the pool water level has risen or not.
