I ordered this item in August because it was a good price and I didn't want to miss out on it. It's now October and I'm closing my pool. When I opened the box to put the springs on the cover, it's missing the buckles that hold the springs onto the straps. The buckles were pictured along with all the other parts so they should have been included. So disappointed that I'm now going to have to buy the buckles, spend extra money that I shouldn't have to and wait for them to arrive before I can cover my pool. Purchased 18x38. Everything arrived quickly and correctly. You need a 3/4 concrete drill bit, recommend buying 2 or more bits, depending on how hard/old your concrete is! Also a slightly wider concrete bit is recommended to flair tops of holes to countersink flush the anchors. A hammer drill is a must and 3+ hours of work. Unless you have help! I used a little marine grade calk adhesive in each hole and silicone spray on screw threads. Extremely happy with results! Can’t rate durability since it hasn’t lived through a Michigan winter yet! If you’re somewhat handy, this is definitely a do it yourself project worth the savings of 3rd party installers. ... show more

    • Great product, but could use better instructions and guidance for instillation
Safety covers have many advantages over covers what are weighted down by water bags. The advantage of safety is paramount, and they just look so much better. The simplicity of the tarp and the water bags means that instillation is a snap and it is quick. With a safety cover, even with a simple rectangular pool, there is the challenge of lining everything up and drilling the holes for the anchors. So, very happy with the product, but was not impressed with the brevity of the instillation instructions. So, I recommend this product, high quality materials, well packed, nothing missing, etc., but spend some time on the internet and read about anchoring into different materials, how to do the buckles, etc. You'll be good to go, and very happy with the result. When I look down on this nice tight blue cover, keeping leaves, pine cones, pine straw, sticks, you name it out of the pool during the winter months, it gives me enormous satisfaction. Re: Drilling into concrete pavers with a hammer drill. It will take forever to drill a 2 inch, 3/4" hole into a concrete paver using a regular drill. Eternity. Keep in mind, you'll need to drill 30 holes. A hammer drill makes short work of it. You'll read that there is a risk of cracking the pavers. There is. But, I only cracked one, and that was down by the pool equipment when I was trying out my new drill. Here is what you do. Use a slow to medium speed on the drill, hold the drill straight, withdraw the bit every few seconds, have someone with you to vacuum the dust as you're drilling, and slow down even more as you get to the correct depth. When you hammer in the anchor, make sure you lubricate it with silicone, and use steady taps with the hammer to drive the anchor into the concrete. The one paver I cracked on the deck occurred when I got too aggressive hammering in the anchor. Take it slow and steady and it will be OK. ... show more

Just as good and half the price as what my local pool store had. Installation was easy, but took a few hours including time to recharge a cordless drill. All hardware was included and good quality. Only tools needed are 3/4" concrete drill (spent $10 for a drill bit at local hardware), tape measure and a hammer. I also used a roll of masking tape to layout lines for where to drill. ... show more

This product was easy to self install with 2 people. It included all hardware and straps. Seems to be very good quality for the price. We still need to adjust straps tighter as some sag is expected at first with some slight stretching of the straps. Just put the cover on today, took about 2 hrs or so and this was by myself, really need 2 people to spread cover over the pool. Cover looks great and seems really well made. Anchor bolts work just like I expected with no trouble. Only problem was I couldn't find the tool to pull the springs on the anchor bolts. Don't think I misplaced it I really think it wasn't in the package but I improvised using a 3/8 extension and socket with no issues. Would definitely buy this cover again. ... show more

Wasn’t even close to what I ordered, no hardware, not mesh, vinyl and plastic, no instructions, I have had a lot of success with warehouse deals and probably will order again, not sure what went wrong this time.

The cover has only been on for a few weeks but so far I love it. The instructions were next to useless so plan on spending some time on YouTube to install it, but once it’s on it seems very well made and worth every penny
