This griddle was purchased to replace a 13 year old Weber that had seen better days. I was looking forward to the "flat top" style as I don't really need to see grill marks on my steak. This is great, nice even cooking surface and a lot simpler to cook multiple foods at the same time.     • It’s a great flat top grille but doesn’t replace a grille or BBQ.
There is a learning curve involved for sure. But my 1st experience with a flat top grille was good. Once it’s seasoned it works great. The edges take a while to season.

How did I go this long in life without one of these. I threw away the charcoal grill and the gas burner bbq. You can do anything and everything on these. You can cook the meats, veggies, and the potatoes at the same time for a family of 5. And it is much easier to cook for 15 people also. The one thing I didn’t count on was that you don’t have direct flames or charcoal smell in your face when you cook now. It’s an absolute breeze to cook pancakes for a bunch of people. Don’t have to put my veggies on the skewer sticks anymore. It’s the only way to make smash burgers. I could go on and on, but one last favorite thing. It’s a lot easier to clean up than a sink full of pots and pans. ... show more

    • A little tricky on the assembly but I love the Blackstone
Not the easiest to put together. Had to flip whole unit upside down to put the side shelves on even though that is not anywhere in the instructions. Took about an hour. Make sure to pre heat on low and gradually increase temp to high when seasoning. I used the blackstone seasoning in the jar and put 6 layers on which gave me a great seasoning base to cook on. Now I've used this blackstone ar least twice a week and I love it! ... show more

Been wanting one for a long time. The two burner 28” is perfect for 4 people. We do smash burgers, grilled shrimp and fish, fajitas, stir fry, steaks and just about anything else we can think of. You just have to make sure to season it well and season it about 3 more times. We used avocado oil and we season it every time we use it. Clean up is water and a tiny bit of soap. Then a paper towel of more avocado oil spread around it. We have ours under a patio cover. ... show more
