I purchased this griddle mainly for the two of us and the occasional drop in by the kids and grandkids. This griddle is perfect for our use. The hood came with a factory misalignment of a support angle piece behind the front of the hood and impeded one of the holes that the front handle needed for attachment. Long story short, I was able to very easily redrill the two holes just about the factory holes for the handle and attach it properly. The handle bases have collars that hid the factory holes so it came out perfectly. No other flaws in the construction. Very easy to assemble! I did contact customer support about the hood issue and Jen was awesome with suggesting redrilling for the handle and offered to send $60 in accessories of my choice. I mentioned that I was looking for a cover for the griddle and not only did she ship me the cover, but also included an extra jar of conditioner and a bottle of steak seasoning! Bought this for my husband for our 7th anniversary 💕 ❤️ he absolutely loves the bigger size. We have a 22" that we take camping 🏕 and we were so impressed that he had been wanting to get the 28" for home. You wouldn't believe it but we actually gave our Holland grill to our kids and replaced it with the blackston. Because you can do much more with the cooking surface compared to the traditional grated grills. He was thrilled to get it. And I was thrilled because now I only have to cook the side dishes unless watch he grills covers the complete meal. So with that I will tell you we have it all when it comes to cooking. I love the less mess of kitchen cleanups. Game changer! We also bought the silicone cover and the dust cover to keep the seasoned surface clean. ... show more
