This was an excellent purchase for us. We got it for my nephew's wedding. He says he uses it almost every night (They live in Palmetto, FL). He said it took some patience to assemble, but it works perfectly and cleans easily. Very sturdy. Moves easily. The most appealing aspect is that there is no dripping through a grate like in traditional grills. You can purchase a scraping tool, and just use a water spray bottle and some paper towels. Bought this Blackstone griddle for camp shortly after receiving another Blackstone as a gift from a relative. It's been awesome this summer cooking everything from varieties of fried rice, fish, steak, fajitas, burgers, etc. I cook for a family of four and this has plenty of space for any meal we cook. The best part is keeping the heat of the kitchen outside the house while cooking a wide variety of foods. It's important to note that I have had a few learnings. First, I'm an instruction follower so I seasoned the new Blackstone according to the directions. It's remarkably non-stick when they are followed. Also, I had several occasions where it seemed cold and wasn't heating up properly. The regulator has a safety device that activates when turned on too fast. This drops the gas pressure and produces poor results. Simply bleed the gas and start over slowly. ... show more

We really like our smaller 28” Blackstone. Highly recommend the smaller sizes and not the 36” model UNLESS you have a large family or entertain a lot of people. Be advised the griddle plate has legs that more or less “sit” on the frame with the 28” and 32” models. Only the 36” models with lids have the griddle legs “lock” into the base. I called Blackstone after assembly to question why the feet didn’t lock into place (like the directions say they should) and was advised of this fact. I personally think this could be a safety issue BUT won’t move the assembly around while hot anyway. Be very aware the frame does get pretty hot because there’s no way to keep the griddle tray heat from being transferred into the stand. It is actually really fun to use. I do stand, monitor, and flip food way more attentive than my grill but that’s the fun of it. Have not YET made eggs, hash browns or pancakes on it but am anxious to do so. I have absolutely no CONS for this grill. We liked it so much we bought 2 !! It is easy to assemble, easy to clean and easy to use. The 2 U shaped burners heat the flat top up much better than any other grill I've ever had. The wheels on it are really good quality so you can actually move it around very easily and it doesn't wobble. My husband cooks his breakfast and lunch on it every day now. Eggs, sausage, bacon, hamburgers ! No problem. What is really nice is you just scrape the grease off into the little hole in the back center into the little aluminum grease pan and throw it away and put another in when it gets full. Since the grease is not dripping down on the burners and inside the grill every time you cook we can actually keep it in the garage and it doesn't smoke or stink. Plus I expect the burners will last twice as long too. We normally always end up replacing the burners because they get full of gunk and quit lighting. ... show more

    • Needs better wind protection, and hope they include a hinged lid in all future models

The biggest issue I found was the flame extinguishing on me even in moderate wind. The almost 1 inch gap between griddle bottom and the top of the frame essentially acts like a wind tunnel, accelerating any wind flowing through it. This seems to be a well-known issue with Blackstone griddles in general as I found to my chagrin later. There are hacks on online forums on how to better protect from wind. I was able to cut some 3/4" aluminum angles and attach it using self tapping metal screws to decrease the gap between griddle and frame. If you're not so inclined or don't have the tools etc - be forewarned... Other than that it's a good griddle. They're good for what they do, but if you're expecting it to replace a grill as I was, they don't exactly achieve that purpose. Had a hard time finding one with a lid in time for the summer grilling season. Had to order a lid (for when the grill is not in use). So there's that as well. ... show more

This griddle is perfect for your outdoor kitchen. I bought the natural gas conversion kit to go with my griddle so I could hook it up to our home gas line. Takes only a few minutes to get blazing hot so you are cooking right away. Easy to clean. I bought a cover to protect my griddle and I suggest everyone else should too.
