  • Awesome griddle
Style: Griddle Pattern Name: Griddle only
I wanted to buy one for a while. Finally I did. I am extremely happy customer. The griddle is made of very thick metal, so when you start cooking the griddle does not get cold when you place food on it. I seasoned it only once, and every time I cook I finish with a quick cleaning and wiping with oil, turn the heat off and let it cool. I would recommend you prepare everything you want to cook ahead of time because cooking goes very fast. I used it for cheese steak, hibachi, eggs... I even used it in the middle of winter by placing it on the cold stove under the range hood and cooked what I wanted with no smell or cooking fumes. This may not be the most comfortable since the griddle may be too high but works great. I also like the fact that heat can be adjusted on each side separately, so one side can be used for cooking and the other to keep food hot (may need to keep food way to the side to keep it warm and to prevent overcooking since even with one side on the griddle can heat up a bit too much) ... show more

  • Great for RV life
Style: Griddle Pattern Name: Griddle only
I use this size Blackstone for camping with an RV. It is awesome, easy to set up and take down. The Blackstone sets up and breaks down with ease. Well worth the investment.

  • This is what I needed in my life
Style: Griddle Pattern Name: Griddle only
Once I seasoned it properly (which is labor and especially fuel intensive) this beautiful beast replaced any cooking implement in our camper. Its amazing and I am looking for one to buy for the house. Cooking everything from pancakes and bacon to shrimp fried rice to hamburgers, this workhorse just shined! Made clean up after meals simple and we don't have to carry and store pans anymore. I just wish it had a quick hookup for camper gas lines. ... show more

  • This is a nice griddle to use
Style: Griddle Pattern Name: Griddle only
The griddle was well packed by Blackstone and arrived with no damage. Unpacking and assembly is simple. Connecting the small propane bottle is simple too. Seasoning gave a peak temperature of 475F and was accomplished in a couple of hours (Heat & Cool, repeat 3x). In use the heat transfer is good, the edges are somewhat cooler than the rest of the griddle but it isn't a big deal to me. Just move the food around some to even out the overall cooking. The flame was blue as desired with no yellow indicating a correct mixture of aire to fuel. The H-burners do work well to spread the heat but don't reach the far edges as described above. Flame control was about a 3 to 1 ratio from hottest to lowest. This worked well to obtain the temperature I wanted to cook my sausages. Pushing the griddle debris and grease into the rear catch can was easy with an adequate opening.. So what is not to like? The grease catcher clips on to the back of the griddle top and can't be removed when hot unless you wear gloves. There is no handle or other way to lift it other than to go around the back and push it up. It will be very hot so wearing gloves is a must. Using a 1 pound propane bottle gives abour 30-45 minutes of fuel. This is OK for camping where you don't want to haul around your 20 pound tank. But for cooking of multiple items over a longer time the use of a larger propane tank and adapter hose should be considered a must. Those are easily found and inexpensive. Would I buy it again? Yes with only the niggle I pointed out above. ... show more

  • Love it so far
Style: Griddle Pattern Name: Griddle only
This was my first gas powered griddle I bought for camping in our travel trailer. So far I love it! Cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner on it multiple times. Pros: It is heavy. The top if very well built, thick, and as a result, heavy. Cooks great! I made some of the best, juiciest burgers I've ever made on it. Cooks really fast with the heat way up. Cleans pretty easily while not removing the seasoning. Drip tray is big and works great. Lights easily. Cons: uses a lot of gas. I used up two of those small green tanks really fast. Make sure you cook on a level surface. When trying to cook eggs, the egg would run to one side of the griddle. Or get egg rings. Recommendations: Buy a quick disconnect hose to run off your RV/travel trailer gas (sold on Amazon) or buy the hose that connects to a standard 40lb propane tank. Otherwise, buy a lot of the little green ones, you'll need them. Overall, very satisfied. Might even use it at home a lot. ... show more
