Style: Pet Hair Eraser
I bought this vacuum March 2020, and I'm now shopping for a new one. This was a great little vacuum for a while, but often I had to limit my expectations when cleaning with it. I own 2 dogs, one is a rough collie and the other is a double coated mix, and between the two of them it only takes about 2 days to have tumbleweeds of hair. This vacuum does a great job picking up hair on carpet, but when it comes to sucking up tumbleweeds, it clogs very easily. Usually you have to pick them up by hand or manually unclog the intake if you pick up one that is too big. Kind of a pain when I'm trying to vacuum under the couch and the bed. I also have a pet parrot who throws his food everywhere, so it does an OK job of picking up crumbs and things like that, but the suction isn't horribly strong on the hose. When vacuuming, especially on hard floors, if you don't remember to turn off the brush it will kick all crumbs back into your ankles, so I often just use the hose on most things. Also, because of the length of my collie's hair and the thickness, I often would have to unscrew the bottom panel and manually scrub dirt and cut out hairs to make sure the suction would be as effective as possible. The brush did tangle a few times, and I had to replace the belt once, but otherwise it would still spin. Cleaning the container is a pain and pretty gross, you have to reach your hand in if your dogs have long hair because it will catch at the top. I probably spent more time fixing or cleaning this vacuum than I have cleaned with it, but when it did clean it was really effective. After about 1 year the hose started to break at 'pressure points,' so the webbing between each little ring on the hose would split and create a hole, which would reduce suction even further. I usually would super glue these shut (no other repairs held) but every couple of weeks I find a new one, and it would eventually get to a point where the hose is just one block of glue and will not bend or stretch at all. The nature of the hose is also not easy to replace, and honestly I don't have the patience to take my vacuum of all things to a repair shop for every inconvenience. I won't lie, I was probably pretty rough with this appliance but Bissell is pretty much the best brand out there for pet hair. Unfortunately, I typically get about 3 years out of any vacuum I buy, but I imagine this will last a lot longer with shorter hair shedders.

Grant I only had it a day. But when you had a vacuum that wasn’t vacuuming up cat hair very good, you would be impressed with this one. We vacuumed with old vacuum and then went over with this vacuum, there was so much hair I couldn’t believe my eyes. The carpet looked so good I should’ve bought this vacuum sooner. I notice people were complaining about cord not being long enough I had no problem with it just unplug and go to next outlet. There is a little hook up on handle to put cord on so you don’t vacuum it up. It is not that heavy, I like the canister, easy to dispose of dirt. And also easy to use attachment. I’m very impressed with this vacuum. My husband does most of the vacuuming and he was also impressed with it.

I fought with my vacuum of 20 years for the last time this past Sunday when it just was not picking up the dog hair. Ordered the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Turbo Rewind, it arrived today (Tuesday), was fully assembled with just a few clicks, and was shocked at how much dust and hair it picked up after I had just vacuumed Sunday. Other reviews noted it was noisy but it's just a low hum compared to my other vacuum. It maneuvered with little effort and I'm very pleased with the purchase. I am a little concerned about the retractable cord as I can see that malfunctioning after extensive use, the manual loop would be much more reliable.

I have 5 dogs of my own and run a dog rescue, so dog hair is EVERYWHERE! This is the 3rd vacuum I have bought in 2 years and the 3rd time is definitely the charm! This vacuum is lightweight and sucks up all the hair from floors, carpets and furniture. I love the wand handle and the furniture attachment. It doesn't hurt my back to push around. It turns and maneuvers easily. Its not as loud compared to other brands of pet hair vacuums. Its easy to empty and clean. LOVE the retractable cord! I hope this one lasts!

I am always excited to try a new vacuum and working 30 minutes I knew I can t her ow away the box. I have a super shedding dog and the Roll Brush was the priority for this type of vacuum and it did not disappoint. In the picture that is one push through and look how clean the hair was removed. The hand brush works just as well and the most powerful ever used. All lights at points of pick up is super appreciated for a person with bad eyes. The reason for only 4 stars is the length of the hose. Way too short. I will look for a longer one if available. The hose may stretch out and is a quality accessory but length is required for easier hand held accessories. Not as light weight as described but was worried it would be too light and happy with it truly.

I really liked the vacuum minus the cord length and the weight. This is surprisingly much heavier than the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Plus. It definitely sucks up the dirt and hair, I love the lights and how easy it is to use. The attachments move with ease and it sits upright and retracts in the down position very smoothly. I returned this vacuum for the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Plus. The cord is longer and it’s lightweight, only downside Ive seen is the cord is not retractable on the plus. Over all not a bad vacuum if weight isnt an issue. Also on both vacuums the cords are positioned very low. The upside to the plus is you can wrap it on the cord holder however, on the rewind, there’s nowhere to wrap it which means you have to hold it and with it been such a short cord that can be an issue. Both great looking and move with ease, love the febreeze filters also.
