This little guy has CHANGED MY LIFE. I was in despair over the state of my floors, but due to back pain and other issues, I just can't sweep often enough to keep up with the dust. Thanks to this vacuum, my floors are cleaner than they've been in years. My first time using it was a bit of a marathon, because my floors were a disaster, but it's very quick and easy now to run it and keep things from building up like that again. As others have said, this is best used for hard wood floors and very low pile rugs. Which is exactly what I have. I have used it on my chenille bath mats, and it works well, I just have to step on them because the suction is so strong. I wouldn't use it on regular thicker carpet. My space is also quite small, so I don't need anything bigger than this to get the job done. Even so, I empty it after every room at minimum, but it's so easy and quick to do that I don't mind at all. Another reviewer suggested putting a coffee filter over the filter to prolong the life. I didn't have any handy, so I tried an old knee high, and that also worked well. I'm probably going to pick up some coffee filters, though, because the dirt really clings to the nylon and it's a bit difficult to clean it off. I definitely suggest using something, otherwise you will probably need to replace the filter pretty often, even with it being washable. The nozzle attachment is quite useful for getting into corners and tight spaces. Pulled up a ton of dust from the runners for my closet doors, among other things. The floor attachment is quite compact, though, so it does a reasonably good job getting into most spaces on its own. The vacuum will extend all the way flat and still roll on the wheels, so it's fantastic for getting under furniture. It was very easy to put together. My only small quibble would be that I wish the attachments "clicked" into place like the other parts, rather than just pushing in. They're secure enough, I just like the certainty of the click to know that things are attached. It also definitely lives up to its "featherweight" name. It's very light and easy to maneuver, which is great for me, due to the above mentioned back pain. When I first opened it up, I showed my housemate, and they said "you could almost do color guard with it!" I got the blue color, and it looks really nice in my opinion. I purchased this product with hopes that it would enable me to quickly and easily clean up minor dust, small crumbs, and dog hair from my vinyl tiled floor. It came boxed well, it arrived quickly, and was very simple to assemble. The vacuum has more than adequate suction and is light weight. This is basically a dust buster with a really strong motor and a long handle so you can push it around like a vacuum cleaner. That being said, I'm very impressed with the suction. It works great for my needs. I needed a very lightweight vacuum and this fits the bill. I have two cats and live in the desert, so the combination of kitty litter and dust that gets everywhere in my house needs constant cleaning. This vacuum cleaner is okay. I used it on my wood floors and it picked up the dirt pretty good. I also used it on 2 small light carpets and it worked okay . I don’t like that it has vents on each side that blows out air while I’m vacuuming. If the dust is spitting back out of those vents in the air and I’m breathing in that dust, that’s not good and every time I bend down to do something while vacuuming, my hair blows around. . It also doesn’t have a beater bar (brush) underneath which I hope does not scratch my wood floors. The button to turn on the vacuum is too low on the vacuum cleaner and the cord is too short. The vacuum itself is ok to pick up light particles on wood floors and vacuum the sofa, but putting the crevice tool in the small hand vacuum and trying to get underneath my sofa and bed isn’t working well because the crevice tool curves up slightly instead of being straight when you insert it. I wish the long wand could be used to vacuum under beds and sofas. It does a fair job on my floors but I don’t like the above things I mentioned.
