OMG!!! I have been using an old scrubber for nearly 20 years and I could only use it on tile. Most of my home is sealed hardwood so I was forced to push a mop around to clean the kitchen, hallways and living areas. With this little gem, I just cleaned my tile bathroom floors and my hardwood floors in about half the time and the amount of dirt and grime that got sucked into the cup was incredible! My floors look amazing and I am not worn out from pushing a mop around for hours. Thank you, Bissell for this great product. P.S. It is a little loud, so I recommend noise cancelling headphones. Once you use this, though, you'll be happy to tolerate the noise. I recommend spending a little extra to get the edge-cleaning feature as it truly does go right to the baseboards. It's lightweight and the articulated brush head gives it great maneuverability around objects and corners. It is well worth the money, does a beautiful job and the floors smell clean and fresh. It's relatively small size makes it easy to handle and it is well made with no leaks. You won't regret this purchase. ... show more

  • Impressive carpet cleaner
Style: CrossWave Edge
We have had other carpet cleaners but this one is by far the best we’ve used. It’s lightweight, but has excellent suction, leaving the carpet dryer than expected. One thing to be prepared for is that it is narrow so you will be making more passes. For us that’s an advantage because it doesn’t take up much storage space. I’m recommending this cleaner so highly because of the amount of crud it extracted from our carpet and for how dry it left it. Definitely worth five stars. ... show more

  • CrossWave is nice but could be better
Style: CrossWave Edge
I’ve used this machine almost every day—sometimes more than once a day—because I have a messy water-drinking Chow Chow. I have two Chows, and they shed year-round, so keeping the floors clean is a constant task. Overall, this machine has been very helpful because it allows me to vacuum and mop at the same time, saving a lot of time and effort. Below are my thoughts on the pros and cons. Pros: • Saves time by vacuuming and mopping in one step • Excellent edge cleaning; it cleans right up against walls and around objects Cons: • Everything in the tank stays wet, including hair and dirt • It does not clean grout; it functions as a wet spinning mop • There is no nylon brush for scrubbing Wish List / Improvements: • A filter in the tank to separate solid debris from dirty water • A nylon brush attachment for grout or sticky messes • A larger water tank to reduce how often it needs to be emptied To deal with the debris, I purchased a cheap plastic strainer and use paper towels to strain out the particles. A coffee filter would also work, but since I clean the floors so often, paper towels are more cost-effective. I also don’t want to risk clogging my toilet or pipes by pouring debris down the drain. Despite these drawbacks, I do like this machine. However, I do miss the scrubbing brush that my Hoover had. After my last Hoover stopped working in less than six months, I decided to try a different brand. ... show more

  • Great value; performs well
Style: CrossWave Edge
Got this today to replace a Hoover. Assembled it and used it today with great results. Did about 200 square feet of ceramic tile and am very satisfied with its ease of assembly and use. Much easier to use than the Hoover because of the articulating handle. For us the long brush that spins parallel to the floor worked better than Hoover's rotary brushes. The Bissel gets closer to the edges and seems to clean better. I like the clean out when finished cycle. If I have a complaint it is that the tanks are small. Also it comes with an 8 oz, bottle of cleaner ( it uses 4 oz. per tank and did about 100 square feet per tank. [If you purchase one of these get a 64 oz bottle of cleaner]. ... show more

  • Doesn’t clean well. Self cleaning doesn’t work well.
Style: CrossWave Edge
Sorry I missed the return date by a few days because of medical reasons. Cons: 1. Self cleaning doesn’t work well. 2. Doesn’t clean stuck, dried or sticky messes. 3. Doesn’t have a low enough profile to fit under beds or furniture that has legs. 4. Don’t think it’s worth the $. It’s only good for spot cleaning. Not deep cleaning or overall clean. 5. Vacuum not good. Pros: 1. Not too noisy. 2. Light weight for its size. 3. Floor dries quick. Poor cleaning results unless you find the wet messes before they dry. Going back to my steam cleaner with different attachments. Including a triangle head attachment to get in corners. Waste of $. ... show more

  • I Am LOVING This Thing
Style: CrossWave Edge
I have 3 cats. They are horrible, messy little beasts, and leave every floor they cross covered in ick. (I adore them.) And I too make a gigantic mess in the kitchen every time I cook. Sticky everywhere. I bought this because I decided that those little Swiffer wet things are too wimpy to handle the messes, and the old-fashioned but very effective mop + bucket was just too much for me to lift and drag (being that I'm old). So I decided to give this a try. I already have the Bissell standing rug cleaner and that little Green Machine, and thus I think Bissell makes fairly decent cleaning tools. This was easy to put together. It does not weigh a ton. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and even easier to clean out after you've used it. As in: you push a button and it cleans itself. I've been using it on tile floors, and on wood, and it's doing a great job. It's actually disgusting how filthy the "picked up" water is. (Are you listening, Swiffer?) So for sure it's working very well. Also, the provided sample solution seems pretty good. It has a mild smell; I've ordered more. I cannot believe I did not have one of these before now. I'm going to get one for my daughter, also the proud owner of a beautiful but beastly & messy cat. ... show more
