I have a golden retriever who is constantly shedding and leaves tumble weeds all over, this vacuum was perfect and never clogged despite sucking up larger debris. Great Vacuum, my granddaughter bought a Bissell Clearview vacuum for her new house. She liked the vacuum so well she bought her mother one, My daughter liked that vacuum so well, she bought me one. I have a dog that sheds year around. This is the best vacuum that I have ever had as far as getting dog hair out of the carpet. It cleans so well the carpet seems to come back to life. I just bought my other daughter one for their anniversary; she has three dogs. The price is affordable also. ... show more

We replaced our 15+yr old vacuum with this item. It is much lighter to push. It does a great job on pet hair and is easy to empty and clean out. The handle/wand is okay. It’s a little bulky. The power brush attachment works very well, but the combo crevice tool is not great. It does neither thing well (brush or crevice). Would have preferred a dedicated crevice tool and a 4” wide brush tool. The things we didn’t care for are the cord length and routing. It just doesn’t reach what our old one did and the cord is always in the way. The tilt pedal is fine, but the power switch foot pedal is in an awkward position. Sometimes it takes multiple times to turn it on or off. Overall we are pleased with this and the price. If they corrected these issues highlighted it would be a pet hair champ! ... show more

Holy cow this vacuum is INCREDIBLE!! it’s so smooth and easy to use, the height is adjustable, and the power is insane, we have 2 cats and 1 husky so you can only imagine the amount of hair our dog leaves everywhere but the vacuum had 0 trouble picking up hair, dust, and cat litter. It didn’t get jammed not once and the cord is pretty good sized, i was able to do our kitchen, living room, dinning area, bathroom, and half of our bedroom from one socket! I added a picture of the vacuum when I finished cleaning today and omg it’s nasty seeing how much hair it picked up from our carpet haha, I also put a picture of our dog to show just how much hair she has! Overall this in an amazing vacuum and tha fact your saving an animal when purchasing makes it even more amazing!! ... show more

25 March '26, 1235 For the past roughly 15 years I've been using Hoover WindTunnel, swivel, pet vacs, the smaller size and maneuverability were well suited to my tiny L.A. apartment. I loaned one to someone who broke the handle and bought the second for immediate use until the original could be repaired. Currently neither of those units handle activated, rotary-brushes are spinning and they need to be taken to the repair shop. The wand suction remains quite strong after years of rigorous use in contrast to the brand new Bissell. I came to Amazon hoping to buy a third Hoover unit but did not see it available, so, after considerable evaluation of variables between alternate units I selected the Bissell of this review. This Bissell is an attractive looking vacuum cleaner, if that can be said of a cleaning machine. It is clear and a strong shade of very blue blue, conventionally configured. Upon removing the unit from the carton I was surprised by how light weight, flimsy really, the plastic construction is. I was struck by doubts regarding the durability of the machine. The user's guide is one step above worthless with its postage stamp size, line drawing, assembly 'instructions.' In floor cleaning mode use is fairly straight forward with a carpet height dial to adjust from bare floor to thick carpet, and suction out of the box is adequate. There is nothing, however to inform the user about attaching the nozzle/brush and pet hair cleaner to the wand. The 'obvious', straight forward method seems easy enough, although there must be some mumbo jumbo incantation one must utter when doing so, because when the wand is withdrawn and an attachment fixed there is nothing at all, zero, none, nil, no suction whatsoever even as the hose remains directly and securely attached to the portal of the vacuum canister. It is magical the way the suction entirely vanishes if one attempts to use the auxiliary tools. This unit currently lists at $150.00 with a temporary mark down sale price of just below $125.00. This is fairly typical cost for a home vacuum in the lower mid-range price bracket with stand-outs like Miele and Dyson easily four or five times that price. As desirous as those high-end machines might be, I have no need of such a unit, nor the disposable income if I did have an application. If anyone at Bissell is interested in avoiding another returned non-functional machine please contact me promptly to remedy the deficient faults of this vacuum cleaner. Within the week I have two substantial surgeries to undergo and need to address this flimsy, inferior machine forthwith. The rating of two stars reflects the adequate floor function vacuuming ability, however, factoring in the glaring deficiencies of the product overall, that is a very generous evaluation. ... show more

OMG AMAZING!! Ive owned probably dozens of vacuums .. the roller gets clogged with hair, have to take the roller out, use a knife to cut out the mess, over and OVER! Was expecting about the same.. NOPE! I vacuumed a carpet in our spare bedroom where our black lab sleeps, rolls all over and sheds like crazy! Haven't vacuumed in about 5 months and it was BAD! Was expecting to go over it 5 or 6 times and roller issue after roller issue... To my UTTER AMAZEMENT not only was all the hair GONE on the first pass, but the roller was TOTALLY unclogged with hair! NONE! I did have to empty the dust collector 6x but a MINOR issue compared to roller issues! I even went back over the carpet 2x more, but even after 2x there was almost NO hair left in the carpet! ABSOLUTELY 💯 RECOMMEND THIS VACUUM FOR DOG OWNERS WITH A SHEDDING PROBLEM! For the price point you CANT beat it! Worth every dollar! ... show more

This vacuum is Exhibit A for planned obsolescence. I have had three of them and they last almost exactly 3 years. For the price point, they work well and can keep up with my 3 cats and 1 dog. I have 4 8x10 area rugs and one set of stairs, so if you have more, I’d shop around for a machine that won’t explode at year three. My last one was smoking and snapping new belts in half in seconds. They are also getting lighter and easier to assemble. This just snaps together. Hopefully, it won’t snap apart. I have no idea why they bother with the pet hair attachment.
