My one roommate recently got a dog which hangs out in my room all day while he’s at work, and the roomba just wasn’t cutting it anymore. The first time I used this machine, I was blown away by how much fur and dust it picked up. I had no idea my carpet was that dirty. The small size is perfect for an apartment. Does a pretty good job, but its MUCH tinier than this big man was expecting. Meet this little Bissell upright vacuum: it’s compact, it’s lightweight and it’s just slightly too small to fully respect. Think of it like the enthusiastic intern of vacuums....eager, capable, but sometimes you have to redo their work. Does it suck? Yes, in the way you want a vacuum to suck. It WILL get the job done.....but sometimes it gets tired halfway through like, "You got the rest, right coach?" So you go back over that same area like a Roomba with trust issues. Its size makes it great for storage, tight spaces & people who enjoy vacuuming the same room twice for extra cardio or because thats where the treat bowl is (I hate the treat bowl). Pros: - It be light as a feather - Gets into corners like a nosy neighbor - Makes you feel powerful for defeating crumbs with a teenager-sized device Cons: - You will question your life choices around the 3rd pass on a rug - Not built for cleaning up after yer golden retriever going through an emotional crisis Still, for the price? This is a great little vacuum! I bought it to keep upstairs in our home b/c I don’t like lugging the other one up and down the stairs. The suction is amazing! It continues to pull pet hair and dust from the carpet following the use of my other, much more expensive one. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and easy to dump. This vacuum has been a workhorse and more than I ever expected. We went from a $200 Shark to this, becuase my children are extremely rough when using the vaccum and broke it. So I bought this knowing it was cheaper and would most likely not hold up. Not only is this vacuum still going, it works better than some of the expensive ones I’ve owned in the past. This poor vacuum has gone worked through three children, two cats, and two dogs, all with daily use. Then lately we’ve been remodeling and it’s still holding up and cleaning like a champ. The belt has broke, parts have fallen off, and this thing just keeps going! It is basically the energizer bunny in a vacuum form! For $50+ it is well worth the investment! You won’t be disappointed in this thing! In fact, if this ever does truly die, we’ll be buying another one instead of a $200+ counterpart. ... show more

First of all, you know you’re an adult when you get excited about buying a vacuum! My fiancé has a larger version of a BISSELL but we mainly use it for carpets, and I have a hard time using it because it’s big, heavy, and not great on hard wood floors which is 90% of our house. I decided to get this smaller BISSELL. I LOVE THIS VACUUM! It’s easy to use, already assembled, and extremely light. It’s not very big which is great because you can store it in a closet or even in a corner. It’s very easy to maneuver and move from room to room. The cleaning power is amazing! I vacuumed three rooms and it picked up that amount of cat hair (in my picture)! Don’t get me wrong, I regularly sweep my floors, but this vacuum is extremely efficient. It’s also not super loud (compared to the other vacuum). I think I will probably start vacuuming my house more than once a week just so I can use this vacuum more often because it’s so much fun! Another plus is that it doesn’t break the bank like a lot of other more expensive vacuums. I highly recommend the vacuum for hard wood floors and for people who don’t want a big glunky vacuum. One note, I haven’t tried this vacuum on any carpeted surface so I don’t know how well it works on those. Since this vacuum is meant for hard wood/flat floors I would recommend just using it for that. ... show more
