I am done with paying close to $300. for a vacuum with turbo whatever & "great suction" only to have it fail in a few months because it can't be taken apart to clean the interior cup so it overheats and won't run! So 2 years ago I bought this vacuum altho it was called Bissell POWERFORCE COMPACT (which lasted 2 years before the motor burned out) but it is basically the same model: this one, Bissell ClearView Compact has a much longer electrical cord and cost $10. more. My reasoning: If the more expensive models only last a few months or maybe a year if you're lucky, I may as well buy a $50. model that lasts 1 or 2 years--I would still be saving money over the years if replaced every 2 years. And let's face it, the suction on this one works good enough for me in a small house with 3 cats and a small dog. I don't believe ANY vacuum can suck dirt up from the carpet pad anyway. This one sucks so good that by the time I finish the living room I empty the receptacle before going on to the bedroom; all that dust, fur and dander enclosed and easy to dispose of. And best of all, for me anyway, I can totally disassemble the canister and actually wash it and the filter !! I am thankful for this vacuum' ability to suck up all my carpet's dirt as well as the more expensive model and save me money not having to buy filters or extras, for it' small size and light weight and disassembly ability for easy cleaning, long cord and that it was delivered quickly as promised. The only con would be the extension wand and hose could be longer, but because it is so light, I just pick it up so I can reach higher things, like cat condo trees. ... show more

I was hesitant about ordering this vacuum cleaner due to the low price, but had faith in the reviews of others here on Amazon, so I ordered it. My hesitancy has vanished! This thing works great for my motor home, it's petite so it takes up very little space, and it works pretty good. It doesn't have the suction of my $400+ Dyson that I have at home, but it does work well. I just got it today and have already used it, twice. The first pass through the motor home it managed to fill the dirt canister up by a fourth! Second pass got less dirt but it was the finer deeper dirt and dust, which shows me the beater bar works pretty good. The hepa filter does not let the finer dust and dirt pass, no dusty smells while using it. It's quiet in operation as well. It's quite easy to remove the canister to dump the dirt, a one finger operation. All in all a very nice vacuum for small spaces such as my motor home or an apartment or small house. The two included accessories seem to want to fall off their little storage nubs when the angle of the handle is low, but a small strip of tape should help keep them in their place. Could use a good extension to the hose when using these two accessories, kinda short IMO. But all in all a pretty decent little vacuum for the price. ... show more

I bought this little gem to replace a larger and way more expensive vacuum i've had for three years which had falling apart over the years. Not only was the Compact turbo far less expensive, it had more suction! The vacuum is incredibly lightweight and easy to move around. No light but i dont vacuum in the dark, easy to remove canister , and very easy to propel. The negatives if one were to call them that are : the suction hose is short but not really a problem since the entire unit is so light, you just pick up the whole thing. 2) there is no automatic selection for floor types, has a traditional switch which again is no big deal. I am really impressed by this little thing and hope it last for years to come. ... show more

Got this product yesterday. Been using it for about an hour now. My first impression is that this thing seems cheap. But it was, so can't complain. But despite this, it does seem to get the job done. Can't say anything negative about suction. It does squeak when I roll it across carpet but rather it squeak then not work. I am replacing a much more expensive Shark vacuum that died only after a year and half so I can't say more expensive is better at this point. I'm very happy with the attachments. I finally have one that does baseboards. Stupid other vacuum did not have such a basic attachment. The handle is also longer so it saves my back some. It is a small vacuum but I'm fine with emptying more frequently since it's so much lighter and easier to use than old one. It doesn't maneuver as well as old one but it's so much easier to carry around the house so fair trade off. So far so good. Time will tell if it holds up better than old one. If it doesn't I won't be too upset given the price point I paid. ... show more

I've never been disappointed by Bissel products and this one is awesome. First it shipped fast! When I first saw this I was like "its so small"! This is a powerful little vacuum that cleans up pet hair super fast. It was easy to assemble (1 minute). I love it and because it is small its easy to store. I loved it so much and it was so affordable I purchased a second one for downstairs. Love this and highly recommend!!!!!! May purchase another as a gift. ... show more
