  • Cordless and makes mopping more frequent
Style: Crosswave Max
I LOVE that this is cordless!! I've never had a cordless vaccuum before, I find myself using it multiple times a week, especially to run under and around the table after kids eat! Easy, sweat free, cleaning: I used to use Swiffer because I hated taking out the mop bucket, but scrubbing floors with a Swiffer was so much work and sweat, so I would only mop maybe once a month, not ideal with 2 kids and 2 dogs. Suction power: Great suction power! Picks up finger nail size rocks and even picks up peas. (I even had to try throwing peas and other food on the floor to test, worked great! Picked it all up!!) Long battery life: I have ~1,000sqft of hardwood in our home and 1 dog that creates fluff balls all over and mop vac picks it up with ease! With it fully charged, I can mop ~3/4 of the 1,000sqft before it needs to be charged again. Easy machine cleaning: I love the self cleaning mode, but you do have to wipe the tray after. The hair trap is awesome so you can wipe out the hair trap and still dump the dirty water down the drain. Small Con: I use hot water to clean the floors but it doesn't easily get caked on food or grime off easily, even if you let the brushed run over for 30 seconds. I typically just run over it to soak and wipe up with a cloth. Conclusion: - I would prefer a longer battery life, but it easily cleans ~800sqft and easy to pop it on the charger, it does charge pretty fast. - Cleaning caked on grime could be better, but nothing a quick cloth swipe or regular cleaning wouldn't fix. - Cordless and very easy machine cleaning. - I am very happy with this product overall!! It took a year to finally buy it, but best purchase I've made in a while!! UPDATE: I've had this for about a year now and still find it the most convenient cleaning tool I've ever used! I had to send it in once to customer service but they were super quick to fix the issue and very helpful. It started having a screeching noise about 4 months in, so I called the customer service line, they had me send it in via mail for repair with no charge, they 'fixed' it, only to happen again a month later. I then realized it stopped screeching when I changed the small filter. I have 2 toddlers and two dogs, one who's fluffy and we wear shoes throughout our house, so the small filters need to be changed about 1 per month. ... show more

  • Clean floors made easy
Style: Crosswave Max
I have other bissel products including the cordless air ram vaccum, and the portable spot bot for pets and have found that bissel products are so effective, and for me definitely worth the investment! I did my research on all of the bissel crosswave models and went back and forth between the corded pet pro model and the cordless crosswave max. Reviews led me to believe the corded version has better results, but I was leaning toward the cordless max for more freedom as my dog follows me while I vaccum and didn’t want to deal with a tangled mess. I was a little nervous how it would do with hair considering I have an Aussie who is constantly shedding and bissel advertises that this model isn’t designed for pets. Regardless I bought it anyway and to my surprise it really does a pretty remarkable job with hair for “not being for pets.” It also does a great job on both hard floors and area rugs as it advertises. The first time I used the machine, the dirty water tank was filled with black water (ew)! But that means the machine did a great job, and my floors looked great too! I will say I was most impressed with the fact that this wet/dry vaccum was able to pull more hair from my area rugs than my regular vaccum! The only downside to using this for me is the regular maintenance it requires. After every use bissel reccomends you clean (I hose out) every piece. ... show more

  • Excellent product with a few important caveats
Style: Crosswave Max
I bought this in order to clean my ~750 square foot apartment. I have laminate flooring in my living room and bedroom, and tile in my kitchen and bathroom. This product cleans the floor really well. It does a better job than the combination of Swiffer Dry and then Wet towels, and also does a better job than my old Braava cleaning robot. It also uses less material to do so: it takes 3-4 Dry AND 3-4 Wet towels to clean my apartment with the Swiffer, and the Braava never properly cleaned my apartment at all, often draining an entire tank of fluid as it went. The Bissell Crosswave is able to clean my apartment in a single charge, though I need to refill the fluid if I want to wet the entire space. It's also much faster and requires much less effort. However, what some others have mentioned in their reviews is generally correct. There are occasional bits of sludge that come out if you hold the vacuum at a strange angle. The vacuum also requires 3-5 minutes of disassembly and cleaning after each use. I have not found any issues with streaking or marks being left on the floor, but I wouldn't be surprised if this might be the case depending on your flooring or type of water you use. Lastly, there is indeed a tendency for dirt to get caught in the flexible hose behind the roller, and I've had to clean this after every use. Overall, I think this is a great product owing to its superior cleaning ability when compared with similar products across price categories. If you need a product that will "probably definitely get it done," I think this is it. I think the few minutes of product maintenance after each use is a small price to pay for the cleanliness and time savings the Bissell enables. ... show more

  • I love this Wet Mop
Style: Crosswave Max
I was using an O’Cedar ring mop for a few years and always hated feeling like I was just going over my floors with dirty water. I was constantly changing the water and buying new mop heads ( no way I was cleaning them in my washing machine). The step wringer finally broke so it was time to make a decision on a new mop. I did my research and loved many of the features of this wet dry vacuum. We live in Florida so track sand in and have cats that occasionally throw up on the floor. We have all LVP floors and this works great. I was amazed at how much dirt came up when I thought my floors were clean. My 2 favorite features are the self cleaning cycle of the mop head when you’re done and the fact that it’s cordless. It is definitely worth the investment. Snaps together easily and recharges quickly. ... show more
