This thing is a beast at tilling the soil. Not only does it till, it also churns the soil making it soft and velvety in texture. I was also pleasantly surprised at how quiet it souds when in use. Simply put, blenders are much louder than this machine. Imagine that! It's simple to assemble and folds nicely to occupy limited space in the house. Great buy. Powerful little devil! Works well in my backyard vegetable garden. Easy to assemble but operating it is a challenge. It pulls you forward and you have to struggle to control it. Not because that's how it operates but because it has one speed and that is too high! It flings dirt everywhere, even outside the garden beds, entailing extra work to bring the valuable soil back where it should be. Only if it had extra speeds to slow it down so it wouldn't bounce around so much and not fling dirt everywhere, it would rate five stars from me. If I could give 10 stars I would. I really wanted a gas tiller but the prices are up there. To be honest this was the cheapest I could find. No tools to assemble. My garden is about 25x15 feet and has not been tilled in a few years. This tiller went through it with 0 problems. Tore up 2 inch roots. Nothing stopped it. Other than getting used to and watching out for the cord. I’d put this up to any gas tiller. Totally amazing ... show more

It's light and maneuverable yet appears tough and well built. It digs into the soil the moment you hold back on it so it's good for preparing new ground. But if you don't hold it back, it moves right along loosening the top couple of inches for planting seed without destroying soil structure. This is a beast! Rocks just move out of the way. Roots? Don’t stand a chance. 250sf was nothing. Done in 10 Assembly was very easy. No tools necessary. Not perfect. I would have preferred to see the wheels secured with at least an R clip instead of the provided cotter pin. Also, keep in mind that this is corded so be mindful of cord placement because it is easy for the cord to get covered in dirt with this tool. ... show more

This thing has some power. Just hang on and let it eat. Only draw back is weed eat or mow area short before tilling. It winds weeds up in tines quick. Have a 8 x 50 ft garden and it turned to powder after few pases.

Was not in favor of an electric tiller. My wife said it will do it. I used it on 2000 sqft yard. I used this tiller to get all the grass out. It took 6 hours with my work at home pace...lol...I am in no hurry when home. I was able to start over with new seed. I am pleased to say it's worth the cost.
