I needed a carpet cleaner that is heavy duty and gets close to the walls, Big Green is just what I was looking for. I have had this for about 2 years now and have had no problems with it. It is easy to fill and easy to clean. It has a hose attachment for use on furniture or getting to those spots that are hard to get to. This is probably the best carpet shampooer that I have ever owned, and I have had some big brand named carpet shampooers. One thing I would suggest is to get a rubber mat to put under this thing when storing it just incase there is leftover water in the cambers... it might leak out. But, all-in-all, this machine has lasted me a lot longer then other brands and is still going very strong. If you are looking for a very durable, long lasting, carpet shampooer then this is what you need. Pros: - Water provides weight above the shampooer to help get a deeper clean - Easy to fill - Easy to clean - Allows you to get very close to the walls - Easy to push and pull - Very well built, rugged - Has lasted longer then other Big Brand named carpet shampooers Cons: - A little pricey

Being wheelchair bound for a prolonged period of time after an accident, my carpets were a mess due to having three dogs (2 of them puppies) who love to dig in the dirt and play in the mud. And the hair!!! I wanted to have the carpets replaced but was too embarrassed to have anyone see them in the condition they were in, so I decided to spring for this after reading many independent review sites. I am amazed and delighted! This makes my carpets look and feel new, except for a few stubborn stains that one has to look for. Some things I've learned: use the full amount of detergent recommended. It works much better on really dirty carpets if you do. Use a spot stain remover on really bad stains; it helps. It does leave a slight soapy residue, so I go over it again with clean water in the shampoo tank. It's well worth doing; the carpets are left soft, springy and odor-free. I haven't had it long, so I don't know about it's durability, but I've done three rooms so far and am just over the moon with the results. Not going to be replacing any carpets for a long time!

The unit seems to be well made. The parts seem to be fairly thick and tough. The unit weighs a lot, so it is kind of hard to carry up and downstairs, especially with the tanks installed. Like most carpet cleaners, the dirty water is extremely dirty. Unlike most other carpet cleaners, you can really see the difference in the carpets! There was no need for side-by-side comparisons. The difference is obvious. I'm not sure how much credit goes to the cleaner or the shampoo that comes with it, but the combination of the two really worked well! I downgraded the stairs mostly because of the weight. It would be nice if the hose was long enough to reach all of the stairs from either the top or bottom, but you can't.

I have an old dog and a toddler and they both can make quite a mess. This machine is an absolute godsend. Deep cleans. Gets out stains that have been in the carpet for years. I didn't realize my carpet was this light colored!!!! The real test was that we pulled out a large piece of furniture that had been in the same place since I moved in--a whole long time ago and after using this cleaner--my daughter commented--oh wow, the carpet matches the carpet that was under the furniture. It dumps a whole lot of water on the carpet and really deep scrubs. This may be my favorite all time purchase ever!!! (I've gone through a lot of carpet cleaners over the years--like 5). This is the best one ever!!

This is a great cleaning machine. A heavier machine than I'm used to, but it does extract better than any machine I've owned in the past. This is definitely a professional grade carpet cleaner. I like that the water tanks are larger than I've had in the past and can easily do a normal sized room with just one fill up. Carpets look the best I've seen them in awhile. Well worth the money.

I have a lot of carper on my house and I bought this because I have 4 kids, 2 cats and 1 dog. The animals have had several accidents and my son has spilled food on the carpets and I am always able to get the stains and odors out. This is a great machine.

We have three dogs, and five kids ranging from 20 months to 20 years. After being in this home for four years the carpets were TRASHED, but we didn’t really want to replace it as next year we are hoping to rip tile out, remove carpet and do something else. So we invested in this and THANK GOD WE DID!! The second I turned it on, let stains disappeared that I couldn’t budge for years. Spaghetti stains came up. Blue popsicle stains (yeah don’t ask haha) I literally would do one pass, turn the machine off and yell through the house ‘hey everyone, holy crap come look at this! It’s AMAZING!!’ Takes some getting used to as it is a heavy machine but once you get the hang of it- saweet! The suction is awesome, carpets are completely dry rather quickly. Only thing to note is that if you have old or cheap carpet, you may get some fraying at seams. But all in all, this machine is a life saver, I’m not embarrassed to have people over anymore!

This has been easy to use and does a better job in fewer passes then the other machines. Kid spills, pup accidents, or even a dropped coffee cup. My pups are specially abled, so Spills, bumps and things falling it's the norm. This makes clean up quick and easy.
