We had to purchase a taller ladder than what came with the pool. We placed 1” square pavers under each leg to help stabilize the poles & pool on the ground, and this raised the pool enough the ladder that came with the pool would not work. Our ladder broke on our pool, so I got this as a replacement. It was taller and much sturdier than our old ladder. Plus, there is a top platform. Rather than stepping from going up the ladder directly to stepping on the first step going down the ladder, you can step on the top platform. It just feels safer. These stairs are lightweight and can move very easily around the pool. I actually replaced the more expensive heavier, sturdier ladder stairs that came with the pool with these. The only negative is that they began rusting within a week. For $100, I won’t complain!

I like the ladder, it replaced my huge Hayward ladder but I didn't want to spend 400 on a ladder when I'm getting rid of the pool next year so we went with this little guy. You do get what you pay for. I'm a buck 30 and when I get in all is well, when I'm getting out of the pool I do feel a little unsturdy but not like I'm going to crash down. I would recommend this product but maybe anchor it better if you can, I did not and I didn't buy a mat as it doesn't slide it just feels a little wobbly to me. I loved everything about this ladder when I got it, however, within a month, it was rusting terribly.i tried customer support, but it was a difficult process that I finally gave up on. Going back to the intex ladder that I had no issues with. I switched because I liked the look/ match of the bestway ladder better. There are no written directions, it is all pictures so you will have to do a liitle brain work but it snaps together easily once you get the hang of it. It is mostly snap together with very few screws so it feels a little wobbly when climbing it but it holds the weight well, even heavier weight. I would suggest few more screws and a couple of support bars to sturdy it a bit more for a perfect product, especially for that height. ... show more
