Purchased Sept. 2021. Love this clock's appearance in young child's room. Originally, clock was silent. Recently I've been hearing a constant fast ticking, perhaps 5 Hz, coming from the wall by the clock. After investigating (e.g. removing battery from clock), it turns out that the ticking sound is coming from the clock. This clock is a very pretty shade of purple and the hand movement is continuous and silent, which I like. I do wish the hands and numbers glowed in the dark. That would be the cherry on top.

These are the three main colors in my home so I was thrilled to find it. It is absolutely quite as advertised and the second hand moves smoothly, not choppy as in some clocks. It is easy to read during the daytime from across the room. I have a little trouble seeing it accurately all the time at night but I typically don't have much light on in the room and it is above a doorway, so that is due to my placement not the fault of the clock as the numbers are large.
