As an owner of several of this style of heater I have a fair basis to compare to. This product is the absolute worst quality of any patio style heater I have ever owned. The heat output is not uniform, and that is the best attribute of this unit. Now it is completely inoperable and won’t even light up. This company touts their warranty and that is a cruel joke at best. Their customerService consists of a two or three day delay in returning your initial warranty claim, followed by a different person answering your warranty service questions via email each time. Each time the customer service representative asks you the same question, simply worded differently. I have now explained, in technical detail, the mechanical failure of this unit three separate times, only to be followed up two or three days later by exactly the same question all over again. This unit lasted only about six months and now will not light no matter what I try. Mechanically it is absolute trash, and the customer service is far worse than that. Do not do business with this company. They are horrible. They make an inferior product and their warranty is an absolute false claim. They have no intention of replacing my unit that lasted only six months. If I could give this -10 stars I would since this unit will not even light up and create heat, I would’ve been far better off to take the money spent on this unit and just light it on fire, as that would have generated a small amount of warmth, and a lot more satisfaction than having to deal with this terrible company and they’re completely awful product. Ok, the only reason this product doesn’t get 5 stars is because of packaging and instructions. Pros: Quality is nice. Throws off great heat. Excellent value. Cons: Instructions are average, pictures and print are very small, but with average logic and intuition most people will be ok. Packaging could be better. If at first you unpack and see washers, nuts, screws and bolts missing in the package, don’t panic they’re probably scattered at the bottom of the box. The only tools you will need beyond what is provide is a Phillips screwdriver, although if you have a small rachet and socket set it could make things even faster. Just don’t overtighten the screws and bolts, snug but don’t overdue it. Peeling the protective covering on the canopy is tedious, but it does it’s job protecting the canopy during shipment. Speaking of the canopy, keep the bolts loose until you have them all in place then tighten them all. Take a little time to line things up, wheels to the back, Belleze label on the tank holder 180 degrees from the wheels, instructions and controls lined up with the Belleze lable and again 180 degrees from the wheels. On starting the unit, be sure to turn the know past the “pilot” lettering and to the red dot. If you have it on the lettering the pilot will not flow gas. Be patient and let any air in the line clear and the pilot will start. Give it another 30 seconds of holding the button in before you release and the pilot will remain on.     • Nice, sturdy patio heater. Assembly a little challenging, but not bad if you have some tools.

The heaters put out some nice radiant heat for about 10 to 15 feet. It will keep you warm at a table, at least the upper half. Lighting it is easy - turn of a knob, hold it in, and push the ignition while holding the know in for 10 seconds. Heat level is adjustable from Lo to Hi. Instructions are well written and easy to follow, but you should have a 10 mm and 14 mm combination sockets or wrenches. Fortunately, I am pretty handy and have a lot of tools on hand, including a battery operated driver (DeWalt). Although a second person would help, I assembled it solo without difficulty. All the parts were included and they were well labeled (not an assortment of parts in a plastic bag for you to sort and figure out). They even provide you with a flat spanner open ended wrench, one side 10 mm and the other 14 mm - but its pretty useless and relying on it alone would significantly increase the assembly time. ... show more

Bought it and it would not even light. I did exactly what the directions said to do and the heater would not light. I even tried two different brand new propane tanks thinking it may be the tank but still nothing.

    • All good, but the safety is too crazy

Everything is good, except for the safety mechanism, that keeps shutting off the propane, if you turn it quick, or quickly go past the pilot with the knob, or god knows that artificial craziness is built in. After assembling it took me half hour to make it work. First I thought it was broken, and then as we got 2 of them, i checked both of them and found the same issue. And then one randomly lighted. Then after reading through articles, i figured out. But since we use this systems for rental to other customers, it's hard for us to explain this weird lighting safety thing everytime, so they do it the right way. We have 4 different brands of heaters that we use and no trouble lighting right away. ... show more

Received the patio heater and put it together, and just fired it up. It is easy to light, and seems to put out a impressive amount of heat. It is quiet, and the entire burner seems to light evenly with a nice flame. Most important, it seems safe to me. Commercial build quality, a couple of safety features!! This heater with a pilot light ignition is fantastic. It lights right away, then shut it off when you are done. Much easier to use and worth the extra money. Heater is not too heavy, so easy to move around on the built in wheels. Assembly is about 30-45 minutes and instructions are VERY good!!! We use this quite often and the heat area is wider than I thought so it's nice that you don't have to actually be sitting right under it! Very inexpensive compared to other heaters I had looked at. Might be buying another one for the other side of the patio area :) We truly enjoy this on the patio for morning coffee and in the evening for watching TV on the back porch or hanging out with friends ... show more
