I originally got this tarp to put under our above ground pool but honestly, it is so nice we are using it as a cover for the pool instead. It is thick and resistant, we've had two strong thunderstorms since we covered the pool with it and it is holding beautifully. It is easy to clean, easy to pull it over and off the pool AND the grommets make it ever more convenient to tie it down if you need to. We're not even using anything though because it is heavy enough that a regular windy day will not lift it. When we have storms, we just place pavers on the corners of it (it hangs because our pool is small). I am very impressed and happy with this tarp.

This is a very thick tarp. Not at all like the standard blue tarps I'm used to getting at the hardware store. I think it would do an excellent job of protecting an above ground pool from damage caused by rocks and such. I'm using it as a drop cloth to spray paint patio furniture in my driveway so that I'm not left with a technicolor driveway at the end of the day. It works well for that but is honestly overkill for that project. I think it'd work better in its intended purpose or to, say, cover a leaking roof that can't get repaired for a while or to protect a vintage car from small hailstorms. It's REALLY nice and protective and the grommets are well attached. It's awesome and I feel kinda bad for not using it to its full potential.

This is a really nice (and huge!) tarp for the price. I got it because we are about to start repainting rooms in our house, so we can use this to cover up the floor or furniture to avoid paint spills. I was surprised when I opened it to see how nice it is. This is definitely something we will be able to use for a long time, indoors and outdoors. Very happy with this.

This is a great price for this type of tarp. It's a good, large size at 12'x12', and it's nice and thick with well attached gromets good stitching. No worries of a loose thread unraveling. We used this over a recently flooded car so we could keep the windows down and let it air out, and it covered nearly the entire Prius.
